Hi I am also in the process of getting the Bypass well I don't have a offical date yet but have met with the surgeon will meet again with him on Aug. 14 he tells me this is a 6mo process and that I have to try to loose at least 15 pds and maintain that weight lost in order for my insurance to pay. I have had diabetes for a little over 12 yrs and has never been thin although this is my highest weight ever and I feel terrible. Can't get around much anymore since my spinal surgery in 2008 but I'm hopful that things will turnaround for my good this year and the yrs to come. I am also looking for spark friends to share in the journey someone to talk to when I can't talk to my husband or kids or anyone in my local church, anyway looking forward to the new things to come.

Hello and Welcome to SP!

The community here is really supportive and helpful.
Here are a couple of teams for those who have had or are considering GP surgery, which might be of help.
