Working to Live

Every day is a new challenge to live for. I always drink at least two of my 32 oz cup of water. I'm working on getting my left leg to work since it is not cooperating at the moment. I also work on maintaining the weight loss I've accomplished. Also to take the rest off.

I figure I survived two days of spine surgery that were both 8+ hours each day. For some reason I'm still alive so there must be a reason. For the next year I will be healing and working on getting stronger ...

For the next year I will be healing and working on getting stronger and losing the next 20-30 #'s. After that year I might be able to get the excess skin removed.

I still have good days and bad days that I work through. I also have nights that I am just to awake for my own good. So I work one day at a time and slowly climb towards the goal of being able to walk without my walker or cane. I want to get my Doberman puppy as my service dog so I can put a harness on her with a handle that will help me balance because I really hate my walker and my cane. I would also have to carry around my reacher to pick up what I drop. Instead of that I can teach her to pick up objects that I drop and to help me balance. She will also have a back pack that will be my purse so I don't have to carry one.

I figure I'm still alive so I get to live. I'll change my garden so I'll be able to work it and I'll still be able to grow my food and keep being able to do what I love. I'll just keep working on being capable as much as possible. Never say I can't do it. Always figure a way that I can do it. Thinking outside the box will always help.

More to come....

Working and enjoying my gardens and fish tanks.

Personal Information:
I started this journey in 2008 at 265 pounds. My Profile Image is the picture that really drove home that I wanted to lose 100 pounds. I keep it to remind me where I've come from and am not going back to again!

I live in Costa Mesa, CA.

Other Information:
I love to read, crochet, play computer/nook games, keep fish and garden of course.

I've purchased some great books lately.

Hi

Dropping by to say hi and wish you a blessed Sunday and great week ahead... Hope you enjoy the following poem... emoticon

Friendship

We grow closer to each other
When we're closer to the Lord,
The common faith that we share
Binds our hearts in one accord

For friendships last a life time
When built on Jesus Christ,
Throughout each different season,
We find we are in life

Friends are there through times of grief
And times when hope is gone,
Always there with encouragement
So we can carry on

So thank the Lord for giving you
A true and faithful friend,
To laugh with you, and cry with you,
On whom you can depend

For friends will stay no matter what,
Giving you support
And together your hearts truly unite
With the love of the Lord.

A New Year With The Lord

A new year is about to unfold
With new opportunities to explore
Doors will open for new experiences,
New adventures with the Lord

Remember not the former things,
The things of this past year,
The Lord will do new things in us,
Much more than we are aware

For He will make a way for us
As we put our trust in Him
And He will guide our every step
By His presence we have within

What God has placed within our hearts,
We find we'll be able to do
If we look for the opportunities,
We'll see the door to go through

We mustn't let anything hold us back
But rise up and take our place
And be all that God wants us to be
With a fresh touch of His grace

Good Morning

Dropping by to say hi and say thanks for all your kind comments and support on my blogs especially your valued friendship, also wishing you and your family a Blessed Christmas and a Peaceful New Year 2014... Let's keep Sparking On Together! emoticon

I leave you with the following Christmas Poem, hope you enjoy...

Jesus Is The Reason

In Bethlehem, God gave to us
The source of Christmas joy;
A star shown on a miracle:
The virgin birth of a boy.

He was born both God and man,
A Savior for us all,
The way to get to our heavenly home,
If we just heed His call.

So as we shop and spend and wrap
And enjoy the Christmas season,
Let's keep in mind the sacred truth:
Jesus is the reason.
