I'm back, I'm back...let's get on with it 2014!!!

I'm 41 now, and nothing has changed, I think it has gone worse. But I'm back now, and I know I keep saying this, but I want this year to be my year 2014.

All I need is to focus on me, get back to the basics and do what I can to reach my goals. I just need a little help from my friends and SparkPeople.com.

Good to hear from you!! I also had family visiting the first week of July. My father came with my step mother and sisters. We spent a majority of the week eating out, specifically at a local fast food taco place and another local fast food pork tenderloin sandwich place. Oh, and I can't forget the day of eating amusement park food. Some exercise, but not a lot. At this point, I just can't seem to flip the switch to care about what I'm eating. I'm hoping to find something to help flip that switch so that I can make, and stick to, healthier food choices. Maybe getting back to normal will help...

I'd like to lose 10 pounds. ...Okay, rephrase that into goal language: I will lose 10 pounds during the month of July by exercising regularly (5 days per week) and tracking my food intake.

I know that something is not right with my mindset, but I don't know what it is. I definitely need to eat healthier and make better choices.

Let's motivate each other!!

Hello to you, too!!! Glad you see you are sticking with it. I'm also frustrated with my lack of progress. I work on my eating and the scale goes up. I have horrible eating habits and my weight doesn't move. I'm struggling with my exercise between baseball, the boys' activities, and being injury prone lately. Like you, I'm keeping at it... What can we do to help motivate and support each other???
