Transformation!

Hi, I'm a working Mom in South Missouri. I'm married and we have an 8 year old son who is the light of my life. I do payroll for a hospital with approximately 1250 employees, am swamped in church and extra-curricular activities, such as teaching Red Cross CPR and FA classes. I've decided to put my health first so that I can continue running at the pace I seem to create for myself. I'm 75 pounds along on my journey at the moment--I have a ways to go, but I've come a long way!

My Goals:
I want to be able to run and play with my son without getting winded. I want to be around for him growing up. I do NOT want to be the fat mom who can't have fun with her son in various activities. I refuse to be the a person who can't fit into amusement park rides.

My Program:
I'm making my health a priority~~haven't done that for years and look where it's landed me. I'm making time for some sort of physical activity-walking mostly-every day. I'm doubling fresh fruit and vegetable intake, and increasing my water to at least 70 oz. per day.

Other Information:
My favorite quote is by Charles E. Hummel: "Our greatest danger in life is in permitting the urgent thngs to crowd out the important."
Second favorite is Lily Tomlin: "The trouble with winning the rat race is you're still a rat!"

Some New Year Quotes for you:

‘An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in.
A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves’ – Bill Vaughn

with all the wisdom that experience can instil in u.’ – Hal Borland

‘Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right’ – Oprah Winfrey

‘The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.’ – Michael Altshuler

‘We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.’ – Edith Lovejoy Pierce.

‘This is the new year the new you. You can pass through another year, coasting on cruise control.
Or you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before, & make 2013
as the year that you elevate from where you are & soar high. Make it happen.’ – Pablo

Sounds like fun. I know it is a drive but Mark Twain Days are over July 4th. I think a great place to meet would be Wahsington, Mo.
I will take a look at their lineup of fairs, etc.

Good morning!

Taking a moment to pop in and say hi from Country Living.

I know how hard it can be to commit to change but the rewards are so well worth it.

So often we feel that we're alone on this journey .. but we're not!

Kepp on sparking!
