Why am I here?

Welcome to my SparkPage. I have been on and off this site for a long time. I am the point in my life where I am no longer happy with what I see in the mirror. In fact it makes me a little depressed. I hit a point of awakening recently when I was on vacation and purged after eating a meal. It was the first time that I had ever felt the urge to do something horrible to my body and I thought, "enough is enough!"

I am being extremely conscious of my weight and my nutrition and hopefully I will be able to feel more comfortable in my skin and love what I see in the mirror once more.

Not only am I looking to lose weight but I also want to become more confident in my skin and be more emotionally happy. My fiancÚ constantly tells me that I am beautiful and sexy but I just want to be able to believe what he is saying.

My Goals:
Be HAPPY. I want to be able to do a Spartan Race or a Tough Mudder in 2014. I would like to be in shape to do so!

My Program:
I'm running 2-3 times a week with an old coworker so that I can get cardio. Can't really afford a gym at the moment but I think being outside and moving my body is a better exercise than anything I can get in the gym.

I do weight training at home with weights as well.

Thanks for your encouraging comment on my blog. Yes it's hard but you're right I keep reminding myself this this is a life change so I need to keep adjusting things until I get them to work in my favor. For sure I'm not giving up because I know I can do this like I did once before. I put off getting pregnant because of my weight. After 5 years I realized that I can't let my weight stop me from enjoying life so I got off my bc pill and got pregnant that first month! I gained 13 lbs with my lil boy and I had gestational diabetes but I did control it with exercise and diet and had a great pregnancy. There are women who are thin and suffer all sort of pregnancy issues so doesn't use your weight as an excuse. Someone once told me you can never really be prepared for a child financially or be the perfect weight, or anything. Things work out on their own and it's an adventure. So just start your healthy life style and keep up with it while pregnant! You're going to love being a parent it's the most rewarding thing in the world and really has gotten better as my son is getting older! You should of seen him yesterday trying to workout with me to my dvd lol he makes me smile =)!
