Real Women Have Curves!

Hi, I'm 37 years old, a Navy Veteran, a Mommy and a Registered Nurse. My husband is a retired Navy Sailor and his family is from Greece. Its been fun for me, a Midwest girl, to integrate into a very ethnic family (oh, and Greek food is so good!)

I have 2 children: our daughter, Mina Sophia, is 6 years old and our son, Franzeskos Michael "Mikey", is 3 years old. They are such blessings, but now I have get back into shape!

I can't believe how much of my life was wasted on living an unhealthy lifestyle. The only explanation I have for it is just plain laziness. But, I'm no longer dwelling on the past--my focus is my future. My goal is to make exercise a top priority in my life and ensure that only good healthy stuff goes into my mouth now. This is a daily struggle and I hope Sparkpeople can help me with these goals.

My Program:
I do cardio 3-4 days a week and strength training 3 days a week. I try to do Pilates once a week.

I follow a 1300-1600 kcal diet.

10/13 - I've decided to incoporate Tabata training into my exercise routine.

I'm originally from Michigan, but I live in Virginia. I'm an RN and a Mommy to two children, so I need to portray a healthy image for my patients and kids.

Need a change to spice up your Spark experience? Do you need accountability but want flexibility, too? Do you like being part of a team? Do you enjoy competition but also value cooperation?

Then I invite you to consider joining the HOGWARTS Spring*TermOwl*Mail Team. It's a waiting list that will set to private on Wednesday, February 26. After the Sorting Ceremony on Friday, February 28, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m EST, invitations to join the spring*term challenge are sent. This team is organized very much like Hogwarts of the Harry Potter Series.

After joining the waiting list, you will have the opportunity to practice and learn a bit more about how the team operates and functions. Each team on SP operates differently and it takes some time to learn the ropes when joining a new group.

Unlike some teams that have a rigid program, you have choices concerning what challenges you wish to attempt as you strive for your goals. It's possible to change every week of the 12 week term if you wish OR you can continue with some challenges and change others. THE CHOICE IS YOURS!
