My Goals:
...like the patient and persistent turtle I want to stay focussed and reach my goal weight.


My Program:
It's a lifestyle, not a diet!

Track calorie range every day

Avoid getting too hungry, eat 5-6 smaller meals over the day

Emphasis on lean protein/dairy, fruits, veggies

Minimum 30 minutes active exercise daily

Weigh-in twice a week

Water, water, water

Walk, walk, walk!

Smell, taste, savor each bite

Some (dark) chocolate is required of course!

Eat to live, not as recreation or a time-filler

Do not eat in front of TV

Do not eat directly from bag or box

Use smaller plates

Stop when full -- not overfull

Give up membership in the 'clean plate club'

Plan, plan, plan: take water/snacks on outings; have cut-up veggies ready to nibble

Get informed: check restaurant menus beforehand; check labels for ingredients, recommended portion size etc.

Add a good measure of laughter!

Enjoy the journey!

Well today is the end of the 9 wk summer challenge for the community Challenge board and the NEW STOP TEAM.
We want to thank you for your participation in the community room challenge and also the contribution of your wt loss. We will continue challenges in the new STOP Team. I will be blogging the fall challenge in case U R interested in watching for it. Ma

GM - I see you have been a Sparker for awhile and also have reached your goal and have maintained for some time. Congrats with that. For sure that is a daily dose of inspiration.

I like your program. I think I will copy and work on that for awhile. I seem to be stuck at the moment.
