Takin' Care of Business...

I'm 40 years old, 5-feet tall (almost), and have 4 young children. I began this final weight-loss journey March of 2006 at 185#. I hit my initial goal of 118# on November 1, 2007. I began by using Curves 6-week Solution, but found I stalled at 142#. I lowered my carb intake to max. 60g/day and was able to achieve goal.

I'm finding maintaining to be tricky, but I'm in it for the long haul. I've changed my lifestyle and I'm not going back to fat - ever! I've begun to run for ...

My Goals:
Now that I've hit goal (11/1/07), it's time to focus on maintaining as well as toning. This ole body has not been well taken care of and it shows - even with the weight loss!! So here's to more water, more exercise, and continued healthy eating in order to maintain my weight loss.

My Program:
I have made my own eating plan based on a modified Curves' 6-Week Solution, only with lower carbs. I also do carb cycling. I'm still tracking my food sometimes (LOL)...


Personal Information:
I have 4 wonderful children (12 year-old twins, 9 year old, and a 8 year old). I am a full-time teacher of children with special needs. I'm recently married and am happy to have found a man who is SO supportive of my healthy lifestyle, as he's living it too. Heathy lifestyle is what it's all about. It's all good...

Other Information:
Each day I make a choice to be healthy. The urge to overeat and make bad food choices are still just a bite away, but I choose to stay healthy by making good food choices as well as exercising. I'm not perfect - never will be and don't strive to be - but I do aim to be the best mommy, teacher, and friend I can be. Thanks for your support in my journey to do just that...

Thanks Holly for the comment on my blog and the prayers. When it rains, it sure does pour! I've always had somebody in the family with issues but seems like everybody decided to have them at once this time emoticon

I'm just taking one day at a time and praying a lot.

I hope you and your family are well and having a great summer! (I know it's not officially summer but the kiddos are out of school so it counts LOL)
