I've been away from SparkPeople for a long time now...and unfortunately the scale is showing that. I've had a lot of changes, and while they were mostly all good, being consistent about eating and exercising has never been my strong suit, especially not when things are changing!

I tried WW for a while, with little success. I just moved second time in the last two years), and the WW group here is dominated by a core group of women who didn't let anyone else get a word in edgewise at the meetings. The whole advantage to WW over SP is getting to meet weekly in person, but if you can't communicate then what's the point of spending money?

So I canceled my subscription and recommitted to SparkPeople. I lost over 60 lbs when I first signed up here, back in 2011, so I know it works! Time to get this ball rolling once again, this time for good.

Get back to making smart and healthy choices.

My Program:
Eat less, exercise more! Eat healthy foods - cook, don't buy - make meal plans so I don't say "there's nothing to eat" and wind up with junk food. STOP EATING FAST FOOD! I did it once, I can do it again. JUST SAY NO!

Personal Information:
I just moved to the D.C. area after a little over a year in Houston. I had a good group of friends there that I walked with regularly, and who helped keep me motivated. I bought a new townhome in Maryland, and need to make some friends and get into a routine. For some reason I'm struggling with that this move, but hopefully it'll get better.

Other Information:
I'm an animal lover who due to the sad fact that animals don't live as long as they should is now a one pet household. But Peanut is a bundle of energy who gets into all sorts of trouble so he is enough for now!
