In 2 years, I have dropped 46 pounds, gone from a size 14 to a size 4/6, and dropped over a YARD in inches!

For me, the most important part of weight loss is being positive and allowing yourself to change your "mental programing." After I had lost most of the weight, I went into a deep depression thinking that I would feel better about myself once I was "skinny." But that wasn't the case. So--STAY POSITIVE, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, and do EVERYTHING you can to change the way you think about yourself. Leave post it notes around the house. Tell yourself you are beautiful every time you look in the mirror. Even if you don't believe it at first, you will.

I also give myself a pep talk every morning in the shower. I say things like "I am a lean, mean, weight loss machine. I am healthy. I am attracted to healthy foods. I love exercising and taking care of my body." And believe it or not, IT WORKS!

My Goals:
From January 2008 until now, I have lost over 46 pounds.

At this point, I just want to live a healthy lifestyle. I'd love to lose about 5 more pounds, but if not, I'll be happy knowing I'm being good to me!

My Program:
30 minutes cardio 5x/week

Strength Training 3x/week

8 cups of water per day

thank u for your kind words and i so appreciate when anyone comes by my page at anytime. you have been such a nice person for your one comment on my blog. my husband dan read it a minute ago and he is so amazed how people are here... meaning how friendly all of the fellow sparkers are here although you guys dont know us personally but ur so kind. you have been the most friendly ( and motivateing ) in the past few days before i even went on the daily sparker to post. please come back to my page at anytime you choose too if you have any advice or just plain old thoughts.

I just wanted to thank you so much for all the comments on my blog and my sparkpage and the goodie.
You have been more welcoming (and encouraging) in the past day than everyone else had been in the entire week before I joined the Daily Sparker. It means so much to me.

And I'm glad to find another Musical Theater Enthusiast. Btw- two years ago is definitely recent enough to say just. Every show I've ever been in is one that I 'just' did. The only time I admit that exists is how many shows ago something happened.

Hey kiddo!

Congrats on being spark Team Leaderof the Month!! woohoo....!

And I loved the specific steps you outlined on your blog post a couple of days ago...

And for PAINTING... a pain the the you know what but so worth it...

Guess what? I lost 5 lbs as of yesterday... I think I was having issues with water weight and some other bodily functions, if you know what I mean!....

So am keepin on keepin on... will have the belt replaced on my new/used treadmill this Saturday so that I can exercise at home when I want... my DVD player stopped 5 minutes into the Walk Away the Pounds DVD!!!! So I will use my computer now...
