I am a strong T2 Diabetic with a host of additional medical issues. NO medical issue will stop me from living each day in the healthiest way possible.
Goals for 2016:
Take a few minutes each evening to plan the next day's food.
Use planning above to maintain a1c at or less than 7%.
Make my 5th year of weight training the best ever!
And, as always, get my weight down to 200 lbs.
Another 5k would be great in 2016.
My goals are:
- Continue to build strength with personal training and exercise
- Keep carbs in target range
- Run another 5k
- Lose some weight (of course!)
I am following the SparkPeople diabetes plan for the most part. I drink at least 8-8 ozs. glasses of water per day. I say no to things that just aren't worth doing.

I am a huge science fiction fan: Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens, Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Twilight Zone series, Michael Crichton books. I also like the Harry Potter series, Hunger Games and Lord of the Rings.
