When you make a change, you make a difference.

emoticon Every transformation starts a dream.

emoticon Goals give you the ability to be self-directed and in control.

emoticon You have the power to change, and no one can take that
away!

emoticon Life gives you the choice...either learn to overcome
challenges or succumb to them.

emoticon Your success is giving others hope they too have the
power to change.

The more we work together, the more we can succeed! emoticon

Hi SparkGuy! I want you to know that today I met a goal of walking in 100 different parks. It took five months, and I lost 15 lbs.

Dear Chris, our own SparkGuy. May the support you garner here at Spark, keep you buoyant during the hard days of your loss. I am so sorry to learn of your Mother's passing. I wish you peace and rest, in the days ahead. These days are hard for all of us. One thing that carries me daily, is when I think of my Mother now, I believe I know how she might respond to my questions or joys or sorrows. When dies after a 2nd round of cancer in 2008, I had not yet found SparkPeople, and sadly, my pain took me to the point of depression. SparkPeople opens the mind. Sparkers help us find our way, during the rough patches. I have since learned to think for myself, and reach out to others. Rather than people please, and isolate.

Although I don't really know you, I do know how hard it is to lose a mom. So sorry to hear this news. Treat yourself gently and savor all the good memories. The immediate pain you're feeling will dissipate as time goes by, and life will fill the void - but you will always feel the loss. Take care.
