I am a 33 year old, full time lawyer, mother to a 3 year old, and wife. Since having my baby, i have struggled to lose the last 10 pounds. So, here I am. But my story is just a little different. I think i have finally found the sercret to success - the secret to accepting and liking the new lifestyle change that needs to happen. So, while i havent lost all of the last 10 lbs, i am on my way, and i hope i can help others do the same. I have my down days too, which is when i turn to other peoples blogs that inspire ME. Hoping to return the favor.

Hey! Thanks for your comment on my blog about losing 30 lbs! I'm so super proud of myself; I've never been this weight in all my adult life! It's so exciting.
I really do feel like my splurge keeps me sane. Knowing that every 21 days I can have a treat, I'm not tempted at all to eat unhealthily the rest of the day. It's such a different mindset I have now. I don't have to feel guilty that day; I enjoy it and then get right back to it.
I think I blogged towards the beginning of April about why I'm doing this in 21-day stints. There's no actual 'how-to'; it's just something I made up that seems to be working wonders. It's based around the idea that it takes 3 weeks (21 days) to build a habit. We can all stick to something for just 21-days, right? And then at the end of the 21 days, I decide if I want to recommit to another 21 days (which of course I always do). I eat low carb anyway, that's what works for me and makes me feel great. I stick to my low carb way of eating for 20 days, and on the 21st day I eat whatever I want. I've done three sets of 21 days now, so 9 weeks, and somehow I've managed to lose almost 20 lbs!!! It's crazy to me! But I've never felt better.
My tracker is shared so if you want an idea of what I generally eat and how I exercise, have a look. And don't knock 4 lbs in 2 months my friend: you look like you're close (if not already at) your goal weight, so that's probably why it's slow and steady. You're doing great; just keep doing what works.
