Hello...I'm Sandi, I'm 30 with two beautiful daughters and a wonderfully amazing, incredible husband (Hugo). I decided to join SPARKPEOPLE because of my many failed attempts at losing weight, so maybe by trying something new and trying to blog every day of my weight loss journey I can accomplish exactly what I want this time! In (2011) I was doing weight watchers and after two months and only a 20 pound weight loss I gave up! So a year later I gained all that weight back and plus a little more, then last year I was doing okay, I think I had again lost around 15 or 20 pounds and my mother got very sick and passed away from breast cancer, before she passed I had given up on my weight loss goals trying to be there with her as much as possible...so now after almost a year of not dieting or any sort of healthy lifestyle I've gained a lot of weight back and It's time to get it off this time & keep it off!!! I think I can, I think I can!!!

My Goals:
My one main goal is to lose at least 35 pounds, but to get to my goal weight I will need to lose 68 pounds total!

My Program:
The things I am doing right now to try and lose weight is eating better, staying within my daily calorie limit and walking and moving as much as I can on a daily basis!

Your welcome. Make a plan for a week and try to stick to it- like eating within calorie range for a week. Then in the second week you add another goal and so on. You should check out the videos on SparkPeople- I spent about a day surfing for videos here and on youtube for workout videos to see if there are some doable exercises. I know I am still far from being in shape, so I didn't want to start with something I knew I couldn't master. Let me know how it is going. emoticon and soon the weather will be better and you can take your walks again emoticon

I go running/walking whenever possible-I love being outdoors and I fell off the wagon when the weather got bad because I couldn't go. Then I got into a fitness mood a few days ago because I needed to vent. So I tried a few videos on this site. The resistence band videos are pretty good. First, they are affordable and second, the videos are short, but don't underestimate the effect. I always hated doing videos, but those videos were awesome because I was able to finish them without taking a break or feeling totally out of shape (which I am LOL), so that was a nice energy boost. Last but not least, I started doing Jilian Michaels' 30Day Shred on Sunday. It is so tough and I have to do modifications, but I did better yesterday and today. So I will see if I can see similar results like other people.
