Ok. I am still around. I haven't been consistent on spark - but it's been on my mind a lot.
Now I'm gonna make the effort. I lost a few pounds while I was in physio for a hip injury. I started seeing a dietician. Yup. And it is the smartest thing I've done for myself in a long time.

I'm eating more calories - small meals and snacks throughout the day. More protein. More fresh veggies. Less carbs. And its working!

Now I will add exercise - walking and swimming - to the improved diet - and the pounds will keep coming off!

My goal this spring is to stay on track with 2 lbs a week weight loss. Overall - I plan to lose 50 lbs this year and another 50 next year.

I am tired - oohh so tired of dragging all this extra weight around.
Looking forward to the journey with my spark friends.
Let's do this!

My Goals:
Lose 50 lbs over the next 7 months.

Eat clean healthy foods. Watch portion sizes.

Drink my water - stay hydrated.

Have some fun and laugh everyday.


My Program:
I heard a great line from a dietician on tv the other day....
You can't outrun your fork.
this is my new mantra.
80% weight is what you eat,,, 20% is what you do .
I'm focusing on what goes in my mouth first.

I'm turning 54 in December and I"ve been on and off working on this excess menopausal weight for the last 4 years.
Well lets just do it.


Other Information:
My favorite place to hang out is our cottage in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. I love the outdoors!

I'm an avid reader - I used to be a library geek - now I'm a kobo geek - getting my fiction fixes electronically.

My goals right now are to get my bmi under 40 which is 32 lbs away- and to eat healthy meals I prepare at home as much as possible.

time to get rid of the junk in the trunk!
