The year is sliding by quickly. I went off the rails in the summer months but now with Fall I am back on track.

I'm back seeing Melissa the Dietician every other week. I'm staying on track more often than I'm off track. I've lost a few pounds along the way learning how to eat properly.

The big thing is Focus. Staying on the mark more of the time. Planning meals. Planning how I will eat when I have meals out, meetings for work and volunteering....that is my biggest struggle now. Social Eating.

I live between our cottage at the lake and our home in the country. My stress level has come down considerably this past year by changing jobs. So now I have more control of my time, and my life.

My goals are to eat clean, prepare and cook 80% of my food at home and get back into working out - whether that's a walk around the block or swimming laps in the local pool.

I have 100 + pounds to lose. I've come at this a few times... and I keep coming back - so that means it is important to me to get this done. As of today 8 lbs down. So 92 pounds to go.

I plan to do this slowly and surely. I need to teach myself how to care for me - physically, emotionally and mentally.

My Goals:
Lose 8 - 10 pounds per month for the next 4 months.

Eat clean healthy foods. Watch portion sizes. Get into the pool 2 times per week.

Drink my water - stay hydrated.

Have some fun and laugh everyday.

My Program:
I heard a great line from a dietician on tv the other day....
You can't outrun your fork.
this is my new mantra.
80% weight is what you eat,,, 20% is what you do .
I'm focusing on what goes in my mouth first.

Personal Information:
I'm turning 55 in December and I"ve been on and off working on this excess menopausal weight for the last 5 years.
Well lets just do it.

Other Information:
My favorite place to hang out is our cottage in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. I love the outdoors!

I'm an avid reader - I used to be a library geek - now I'm a kobo geek - getting my fiction fixes electronically.

My goals right now are to get my bmi under 40 which is 32 lbs away- and to eat healthy meals I prepare at home as much as possible.
