Hi everyone! My name is Stacey. I discovered Spark in Jan 2013. At this point I am more ready, willing, and able to get healthy than ever before! Live in New England and love it! My passions include (besides family & friends) Summer thunderstorms, music, reading, horseback riding, Disney, Everything Jim Henson, broadway musicals, amusement parks, carnivals and circuses (anything colorful and happy!)

Dislikes= negativity! I try to steer clear of it as much as possible! Life is tough enough!

Hi Stacey,

emoticon Easter Break has finally started!! I want to get SO much done!!! I am not in a GREAT place homework wise, but I am not in a really bad place either. I am pretty sure that if I can get 4 or 5 assignments done each day, I will be in EXCELLENT shape when I go back to work.

emoticon Each day of the break I want to get one housekeeping chore attended to also.

emoticon I really need to work all of this out so that I can also spend some time at work making up hours I have been or will be gone to class.

emoticon I also would love it if I could have enough time to think through and write a blog that I have had running around in my head the last few days.Easter seems like the perfect time for it.

emoticon And finally, (definitely NOT in order of importance) I want to go to church Easter Sunday morning without having to worry about whether I can afford the time away from homework.

emoticon I realize all of this is not a recap of the day and most of it is to soon to hit my promise list tonight. I wrote it out, not only as a reminder to me, but as another measure of accountability. So often I know what I am planning but I tell no one, and when I don't make it, it is my little secret. This way, I have put in writing what I would consider a WONDERFUL and productive break. This way you can help hold my feet to the fire. I am hoping it produces better results than just "hoping".

Hello, Stacy!

Today was definitely a better day! It was not perfect and I rather doubt it was even a Gold Star day. My calories were on the extremely high end of the scale, but they WERE in range and that makes me happy.
I think perhaps you give me WAY too much credit. I have looked back! Sometimes longingly and sometimes with my tongue sticking out, but I am afraid I have looked back!! And now that it has been WEEKS since any appreciable weight loss, I am sure I am doing SOMETHING backwards!! Lol
I kept both promises today! Maybe I will catch up with you one of these days! I am so proud of the roll you are on right now! I hope you had the same promise keeping kind of day that I did and that your snow is gone for the rest of the season! I for one think you deserve just emoticon and emoticon
WOO HOO!!! Good Job on cooking that healthy dinner!! I know that is not your favorite thing at all!! I bet that when it comes right down to it, you are a much better cook than you give yourself credit for!
Tomorrow I promise to put supper in the crock-pot before I leave for school.
Tomorrow I promise to get my homework caught up. Today is the first day in a while I am leaving some scheduled stuff undone. I will get it back under control BEFORE the landslide!!! LOL

How are you? Did Tuesday turn out to be a terrific day? As Tuesday's go, mine was not too bad. L O N G!! But that it the nature of my Tuesdays.
I did not manage to keep my streak going! Can you believe it?? ONE day and I am over on calories AGAIN!! This time it was all just silly!! Today is the day that one of my classes goes into the next town, to an elementary school and actually tutors a child. I got to town quite early today and decided that NOTHING sounded better than a Sonic cherry limeade. I knew it would be calories, but thought I could adjust accordingly. I got home to find out on SP that according to their counts the silly drink had almost 3X the calories I had assumed it would!!! To make matters worse, the little girl that I tutor told me that today is her birthday! She had saved me a cookie from her birthday party! OF COURSE I HAD to eat it!!! So, I guess tomorrow I have to try again.
In one class today, I "argued" for nearly 30 minutes with the professor over the answer to one question on an exam. She was HORRIBLY abrasive to a student whom she had asked for the answer. Even if the girl had been wrong, she did not deserve to be treated as an inferior class. So I got angry. I happened to agree with the girl's answer and felt strongly enough about it to take a stand. In the end, the professor admitted that SHE was the one who had been reading the question incorrectly. (DUH!) I felt good, exhausted emotionally, but good.The classmate who I had been backing was VERY appreciative. Scared to DEATH for me, but thankful in the end.
A little bit more emotional "junk" when I got home and I am afraid that I am just exhausted. I am sure it is an emotional weariness, but still it is all I can do to stay awake writing this,
So I am off to bed! Hopefully to wake up to a better day. Just the thought of "My" camel strutting through the room asking "Guess what day it is???" makes me smile! Then, when I remember that tomorrow is the last full day of school this week, (out at 10:30 Thursday) I can almost laugh out loud.
Tomorrow I promise to get right back on that horse that threw me and get my calories in check.

Tomorrow I promise to wog and continue working to find MY "zone".

Hello Sweetie!
My Monday was just fine, long but fine.The tone for the day was set very early with the delivery of an Easter Basket. THANK YOU!!! I don't know when the last time was that I actually had an Easter Basket!! It is awesome! I am certainly glad you enjoyed the story! I am also glad that it sounds like Monday was a good one for you, too.
I can not say that I blame you for substituting the neighborhood walk for the gym. I think that still counts as an awesome, promise keeping day!! You are rockin' it!!! Way to GO!
What a fantastic lesson you are teaching your sons with the Thank you cards!!I know all too well what a tough challenge that is to meet. It is definitely worth the effort, but because of the size of the task, so few people ever follow through! You are the best!!
Sports schedules can certainly get crazy and there is no doubt that a willing grandpa can be a Godsend.I am glad that it sounds as though you have a good coach. The emphasis SHOULD always be on fun and learning. Sadly enough, there are many MANY coaches that don't get that.

I had to go and finish getting my taxes filed today. This involved an unexpected stop at KFC. Well, long story short, it also included a major fight with the Old Me. . . . and I WON!!! I LOVE KFC and can always find a reason (excuse) to overindulge, but not TODAY! I stayed the course, adjusted my "Usual" and kept my numbers ALL in range!!! It did feel good!!
Today I promise to keep that calorie range streak going.

I also promise to get my challenge exercises done.

Thanks for stopping by my 5k blog. Isn't it great to be running outside again. If only the Spring weather would stay. Colder and dreary here today. It will be in the low 40's for the Pub Run tomorrow.
