One small step at a time!

Hi everyone! My name is Stacey. I discovered Spark in Jan 2013. At this point I am more ready, willing, and able to get healthy than ever before! I am a 38 yr old wife & mother of 3 busy boys (ages 9, 7 & 4). I am also a cardiac nurse. I was always "skinny" but that changed after marriage & three 40 lb pregnancies. I have tried to lose weight many times in the past decade but never "stuck" with it. I have definitely put the needs of my family before mine but am ready to put myself first this ...

I have tried to lose weight many times in the past decade but never "stuck" with it. I have definitely put the needs of my family before mine but am ready to put myself first this time. That will be a challenge which is why I love how Spark helps you make small lifestyle changes by focusing on short term goals. I am truly optimistic & the hope I feel brings tears to my eyes. I am tired of being unhappy with my body! Thank you!

Hi!

I was so glad to hear from you! I am even happier to know that the boys have settled in to school so well and that you were able to get back to a gym routine. I hate that your back is hurting (sore) because if it, though. I guess I will just focus on the fact that you went right back today, that must mean it isn't "too" bad, right?? I hope so.

Today is the first day since Sunday that I fit in any exercise other than all the walking I do at school. I rode my stationary bike. As much as I want to use Miss Ellie,(the elliptical) she is still too hard on my knees. I cannot use her after a day at school because my knee is usually grumpy long before I ever head home. I may focus on Ike (the bike) (even though he is a pain in the rear) and some strength training during the week and aim for walking or Miss Ellie only on Saturdays.

Is there any way I can help you??

Have a Fabulous Friday!

Love ya! emoticon

Awww, thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm good now! It's over with, thank god. Took my son, Quinn, back to college and it was sooooo much easier this time. No tears!! I got a tad choked up when I hugged him good bye but that was it! He loves his apartment and was so excited to see his friends! Now my next order of business it to find a full time job! Ugh! How was your summer?

Hi Stacey!
How are you doing? I was better today. Tracked all my food, stayed in range, and even got some strength training done. My arms are noodles, but that is okay I guess. Now I just need to get back to my evening walk and I MIGHT be back on track.

Are you ready for any friendly competition? I would love to hear any ideas you have.

If you worked tonight I hope all went well, give me a shout out whenever you can.

We decided that the tooth fairy just could not fly in that down pour we had last night. It was DS1's explanation and I went with it, it sounded great to me. LOL. I'm such a bad mom sometimes. I bet she will make it to our house tonight.
