One small step at a time!

Hi everyone! My name is Stacey. I discovered Spark in Jan 2013. At this point I am more ready, willing, and able to get healthy than ever before! I am a 38 yr old wife & mother of 3 busy boys (ages 9, 7 & 4). I am also a cardiac nurse. I was always "skinny" but that changed after marriage & three 40 lb pregnancies. I have tried to lose weight many times in the past decade but never "stuck" with it. I have definitely put the needs of my family before mine but am ready to put myself first this ...

I have tried to lose weight many times in the past decade but never "stuck" with it. I have definitely put the needs of my family before mine but am ready to put myself first this time. That will be a challenge which is why I love how Spark helps you make small lifestyle changes by focusing on short term goals. I am truly optimistic & the hope I feel brings tears to my eyes. I am tired of being unhappy with my body! Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by my blog tonight. You know, mom wanted to take my oldest boy with them on their trip, but not the little one, so I wouldn't let her take the older one either. She always wants the older and not the younger-he is 10, he can pretty much take care of himself now. She certainly seems to have a fave!! She always offers to take the older to the cabin and to the county fair as well, but I started having things for the family to do those times, since it doesn't seem fair. Now, if she was to ask for the little one for special times I would be all for the kids getting to go with grandma and grandpa separately, but she never asks for the younger one. Go figure. There are a lot of times that I don't answer the phone. I did this afternoon and she was totally oblivious to the fact that I was upset. Tomorrow is another day though and I'm not going to think about today and what I did or didn't do, I'm just going to move forward tomorrow.

How are you? Saw on Maxynne's page that you are going on another trip. Way cool. Hope work doesn't run you ragged before then.
Take care and have a good night. Thanks for listening. emoticon

What a wonderful opportunity for the girl's night!! I know it interfered with your scheduling, but I am so glad you went! You know, mommies need memories too!!

It is great to hear that the schedule is coming along. As with every other part of this journey, baby steps are wonderful. Slow and steady ALWAYS wins the race.

Yes, Fall will be a whole new world/ position for me. I have left Texhoma Elementary after 18 years. emoticon and will be working at Gruver Elementary. In the beginning, I will mostly be observing the regular classroom teacher. As the semester goes on, she (Mrs. Barton) will gradually turn over more and more control, one subject at a time, until in the end, I am teaching all subjects, all the time.It is quite exciting but a little surreal all at the same time. I have wanted this for SO VERY long, and here I am on the threshold! emoticon

I hope you indeed survive the work schedule prior to vacation and have a WONDERFUL time in the mountains! If it is not too whiny, could I request a blog with pictures when you return? It sounds emoticon

Okay, well I should get to making tracks to the bed myself. I have been trying to get up a little earlier and be more productive. I guess I am practicing for the day when I must start setting the alarm again! LOL

emoticon so much for writing! Stay in touch! Have a Thoroughly Thoughtful Thursday!

Love Ya!

Hey! Thanks for the goodie!! I just got a new phone and had to work out some issues with it but it was worth it! So I have not been here to often since this past weekend. I got a Galaxy Note 3 but couldn't use WiFi and be able to text at the same time so I got another one. It still had issues but at least I can now text and have WiFi on. Going to Verizon cut into my P90X time!, but now back at it after completing Round One! Now Round Two just began!
Thanks for your awesome friendship!!
We can do it!
Love,
Trina

Hi Stacey!

It was great to see that you tracked a jog today! I hope you were able to truly enjoy the time. It sounded like everything right down to the weather was just perfect. emoticon

Is the schedule coming along the way you would like? I sure hope so!

I am doing okay in ranges and getting my walk in each evening, but have struggled a bit lately with the motivation to do any ST. I am hoping that it is just that getting everything moved out of my office and into home and getting home rearranged to accommodate it all is just occupying more focus and time than I should be spending on it. Hopefully by the end of this weekend, the whole transition will be complete. Hahaha if it is that will be just in time for school to be starting back up and a whole new problem with focus and time. It is always something isn't it? emoticon

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
