High Hopes

I am 20 years old soon to be 21 in June. After a car accident and the removal of my gall bladder within a 4 month period, I have gained a ridiculous amount of weight. I am determined to lose this weight. I am gluten free and have taken refined sugars/carbs out of my diet. I have high hopes to see some change.

My Goals:
I want my body that I had last year back. I want to feel happy in my own skin. I want to feel beautiful. I want to look great in that bikini again.

My Program:
I am gluten free as well as taking out refined sugars and carbs. I workout 5 days out of the week doing cardio, weight training, HIIT, pilates, and ab workouts.

Personal Information:
I am from Annapolis, Maryland. I just moved back to Maryland from Winter Park, Florida after a nearly fatal car accident and the removal of my gall bladder (bad luck in Florida).

Weight loss is a funny old business, some people lose it quick, some not so quick. Try and look at other - non scale - ways of measuring your progress. Are you losing inches? Do you feel better? Are your clothes getting loose?

All of this means you are on the right track.

Muscle does weigh more than fat so you could be getting smaller while not seeing a difference in the scales. If you are tracking your workouts maybe post on the Fitness boards and see what the experts think.
