StillFlyin - Staying Free

My favorite things to do are (not in any special order):
oil painting, gardening, designing and making costumes for science fiction events, watching/reading science fiction and mystery, walking, and going to the gym with my hubby.

New favorite quote from NEWGOALS2:
A little bit of somethin' is a lot better than a whole lot of nothin'.

Great favorite quote:
"How do you know you're an artist? . . . you need to create as much as you need to breathe." ...

Favorite quote from INTIBLUE's blog:
"Things to be grateful for? Possibilities. The developing skill to make dreams into satisfying realities. The hard but invaluable work of thinking and being positive. Coincidences and happy accidents that remind us to get back to a path we'd prefer to be on."

Another favorite quote from DAWNSYOGAFLOW, "Hang in there, it's a long run, not a short sprint. "

Thank you for the goodie, my friend. Sometimes I want to just quit thinking about the home under construction, because it is making me a crazy person -- I can't sleep, I never get to take naps any longer, and I can't make any plans from one day to the next -- because the house is always the priority.

However, next Tuesday we have an appointment with the Vet to remove the front claws on Holly, our newest cat -- so that will be the PRIORITY for that morning. She spends the day and night at the Vets office, we pick her up the next morning, and take Luci in for her shots at the same time.

Probably when we take the kitties up to the new house for the first time we won't see them for hours because they will run and hide. I doubt if it will take them long to come out of hiding though. lol

Hugs, Eve

Thanks for stopping by my blog -- I may not be going on "vacation" somewhere, but for me it is a pleasure going to live for the summer in our home up in the mountains. This year it will be twice as good as the home will be new and lots of fun to figure out just where to hang all the art work, etc. Plus, we are going to take one day every week to 10 days to come down to Glendale, and if we need something we can get it then.

Oh Joy! Summer is here!

((((Hugs)))) Eve

The thing with living in an area that has wonderful weather during the winter months is that it is overly crowded with "snowbirds" during our winter season. Now they have all gone home, so until next fall the restaurants, roads -- everything really, are not as crowded. I do not know how many people come; but I know that the Catholic church I used to attend in Sun City West actually did one extra mass during the winter months to accommodate all the extra people!

Funny world we live in. It's like Friday night -- we seldom eat out that night as the restaurants are loaded to overflow -- and we don't like to wait. If it's hot out especially, and no room inside to wait.

I was reading your comment on the Leaders page, and wanted to let you know you can still send Team Goodies to those people who have not been active within the last 30 days. You simply uncheck the box that says "active within the last 30 days" and it will show you ALL the members. Only problem with that is the active and inactive members are all mixed together.

Hugs, Eve
