Back on the wagon again!!!!!

I am 48 years old. I love the outdoors, gardening,camping. bowling and spending time with my family. I have 3 kiddos and a wonderful husband. I truly feel like my weight hinders me from doing the things that I love to do. So I have rejoined sparkpeople and trying to get more involved.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose weight..so that I can feel better health wise.

My Program:
I am striving to reach my goal by eatting better. More veges, fruits and fish and chicken. I have totally stopped drinking sodas. Drinking more water.
I have a hard time doing this but I want to exercise by walking 10,000 steps a day.


Personal Information:
I am living right now in Wyoming. Anxiously awaiting for the spring season to arrive.


Other Information:
I love the outdoors. Gardening, camping, fishing, and love doing these things with my family.

I am just beginning the 17DD and saw that you are part way through your first 17 days. I would love to share messages with you about how you are liking the program, what kinds of foods you are eating, etc. Did you purchase the book?

I see that you are weighing in daily. I used to do the same thing, but then I was told by my physician and a nutritionist, that weighing in more than once a week can work to your detrement and easily cause a person to fall off the wagon. Your weight can fluctuate hourly so it is importat to weigh yourself once weekly, without clothing and early in the morning. I have chosen to do this on Monday mornings.

If you are interested in friending me, we can support each other through this journey!

Hello there! Saw you introduce yourself on the 17DD page, and I popped over to say WELCOME! and I hope you find support with our Team.

Its a great way of eating, but we all struggle at times (I've had two big plateaus myself, one recently for 8+ weeks) - please be kind and patient with yourself, share on the boards, and take it one day (or meal) at a time!

Looking forward to seeing you on the Team boards!
