Hello, my friends.

Welcome to my Spark page. I am learning to live a healthy lifestyle and losing weight, a little at a time. I spend a lot of time driving from place to place, so healthy living can be more of a challenge.

Debbie and I base our lives on Matthew 10. Jesus said to go, share the good news of the gospel and heal the sick! We gave away or sold most of our stuff, packed up and went on the road in August of 2012. Our sole purpose is to go where God sends us, do what He wants done and love His people along the way. We live completely by faith, staying with people who open their homes to us.

We ate lots of fast food and packed on the pounds at the start of our journey. We started making small changes. We stopped eating fast food. Later we started drinking water instead of Coke. A friend gave us a juicer, so we started to juice one meal per day. I started to walk, usually at least 5 days a week. Unless I'm walking with someone else, I listen to a teaching or pray while I walk.

The good news is that I am seeing results! I feel better and have more energy. I believe the changes I have been making are ones I can stay with. I still have a ways to go, but I have faith that I will be able to achieve my goals.

Today is Thankful Tuesday ..so be thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
