What doesn't kill you makes you stronger has been my theme for 2015. I suffered a fall with severe injuries in December of 2014 while attending a concert in St. Louis. I am slowly but surely making my way back to health and fitness and now time to get rid of the extra weight I have picked up during recovery. I still am seeing several specialist regarding the injuries, one of which was a hematoma on the brain. I have a CT this week so praying and hoping the Neuro Surgeon tells me it is finally being absorbed and is getting smaller.

I am getting ready to start the Spring 5% Challenge and see this as just the beginning of a new journey.

I love Spark People and am so happy to be back and happy to have a challenge waiting for me.

    ~~~}*{~~~ emoticon ~~~}*{~~~THE DONKEY~~~}*{~~~ emoticon ~~~}*{~~~
    An old man, a boy and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey
    and the old man walked. As they went along, they passed some people
    who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding.
    The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.
    Then, later, they passed some people who remarked,
    "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."
    So they decided they'd both walk! Soon they passed some more people
    who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride.
    So, they both rode the donkey. Now they passed some people who shamed them
    by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey.
    The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey.
    As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal
    and he fell into the river and drowned.
    The moral of the story? If you try to please everyone, you might as well
    kiss your “donkey" goodbye! And even this ending won’t please everyone.
    My thoughts for the day. Proverbs 15:15, " All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. Since I wanted to increase my merry heart I wrote a poem.
    Principle of Rejoicing
    R emember His infinite atoning sacrifice.
    E xercise agency to believe His living word.
    J oin in His sacrifices by loving service.
    O bey from the heart what you've "heard".
    I ncrease daily, thanksgiving and praise.
    C hoosing virtue and holiness continually,
    E nter into the joy of the Lord all your days.
