I am the wife of wonderful husband of 22 years and the mom to two great kids, a 22 year old son and a 16 year old daughter. I live in the Fox Valley in Wisconsin.

Life has kicked me in the guts more than a few times. Thanks to that, I now have a solid positive mind set to tackle this hurdle of weight loss. I have gotten much better with the stinky thinking and being my own worst critic. Now I need to put into action getting the shell healthy.

My long term goal is to be 145 pounds and a healthy BMI of 24. In this season of Lent, a lot of people give up things. I have been thinking about this a lot the last several days. I don't know that I am giving something up, but I am going to be 100 pounds healthier next year on February 20, 2017! That is my goal.

I AM WORTH IT!! I DESERVE GOOD THINGS!!

My Goals:
* incorporate exercise in my daily life. 3 days a week, 10 minutes a day.

* to eat 1 servings each fruits and vegs. a day.

* to eat less processed foods and NO HFCS.

*to drink more water

*avoid soda

*Next May be within the healthy guidelines for insurance at work.


My Program:
*count calories.

* get more exercise.

* stay hydrated with healthy options such as water.

    Thank you for your kind comment on my cardinal blog. I am trying lots of new things in retirement. Since 2014, I've made a list of new things to do each year based on the year (16 in 2016 this year). I am rather surprised at how much I like painting. Perhaps I need to consider more in depth classes at some point.
