Big results through smaller goals

I am the wife of wonderful husband of 20 years and the mom to two great kids, an 20 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. I live in the Fox Valley in Wisconsin.

Last October 2013 we found out that my husband had an unruptured brain aneurysm. He needed brain surgery. He had the surgery and is now living with the side effects but he is LIVING. Since that time I have spent a great amount of time getting healthy emotionally. I now have a solid positive mind set to tackle this hurdle of weight loss. I have gotten much better with the stinky thinking and being my own worst critic. Now I need to put into action getting the shell healthy.

My long term goal is to be 145 pounds and a healthy BMI of 24.

I AM WORTH IT!! I DESERVE GOOD THINGS!!

It's a real mind shift isn't it? We don't have to like (or love) the exercise but when we discover that we do like or love the side benefits....ah...this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Tina, I am so happy to hear from you and relieved that Paul made it through the ordeal. I knew that there were some major health crises going on in your life but didn't know what and felt that you had more on your plate than you deserved so have been biding time with prayers for you to make it through all this. Anyway, seeing a message from you this morning is like a gift and makes me so joyful since it means you may be ready now to move on and I know you are living with a gratitude for every moment you have with those you love. I wish I were close enough to just give you the biggest bearhug you have ever had!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! "Everything happens for good to those who love the Lord." Another way of saying what will be, will be...we just have to adjust to whatever in ways that work for us and our families. emoticon And YOU did that!

Thanks for your comment on my blog about our dog Katie. We do miss the old girl but it gets easier with each passing day.
