04/21/13 = 347.2 = my highest weight ever

*** Sleeve Gastric Bypass Surgery is set for: 07/28/14*****

07/15/14 = 333 lbs at doctors office.
07/16/14 = ...... 10 day pre-operative bariatric diet began.
07/17/14 = 324.8 lbs without ANY prescriptions taken at all.
07/18/14 = 322.8 lbs
07/19/14 = 320.8 lbs

333 lbs - 320.8 lbs = 12.2 lbs gone so far

I can't believe that I found out that I can do ANYTHING once a surgery date ...

I can't believe that I found out that I can do ANYTHING once a surgery date was made!
Miracles do happen

Note: I use the bariatric pre-surgery 10 day diet as a GUIDE.

I then tweaked the diet to MY liking of what I can deal with.... remember: this is a LIFESTYLE change and I want to make it worth it.. not something that I feel like I am suffering thru.


THIS IS MY USUAL ROUTINE FOR THIS 10-DAY PRE-SURGERY DIET:

BREAKFAST:
Whey Protein powder, 1 scoop that I mix with plain water = 30 proteins

SNACK:
Watermelon or most likely: a handful of sunflower seeds

LUNCH:
a half a head of Iceberg lettuce with 1/2 or 1/4 of a cucumber depending on my budget, then I use catalina salad dressing... sometimes I use 2 or 3 ounces of can chicken breast... again based on my budget if I use it or not.

SNACK:
Sunflower seeds

DINNER:
1 bag (16 ounces) of frozen vegetables, I use "I cant believe its not butter" spray or I just take the cap off and just pour it on my veggies :-) then I drink a can or two of walmart brand diet dr. pepper soda, sugar free. I use some kind of protein with this meal, like 3 or 4 oz of chicken in a can that I shred apart with my fingers or once I ate pork ribs

SNACK:
Sunflower seeds or pretzel rods.

EXERCISE:
Maybe 5 or 10 minutes a few times per week, like taking the stairs or jogging in place and pushups... on the weekend I spend about an hour or more doing sweat-dripping physical labor doing Landscaping moving heavy rocks in my front and back yard but that's it.... as you can see I am not an exercise person but I "do" believe from experience that it is the CHANGING of one's eating habits that causes the majority of a weight loss.

**** 07/21/14 = UPDATE ******** I realized yesterday how EASY IT IS for me to slip into my old eating habits. Example: Yesterday I had a desire for oatmeal last night and I ate oatmeal with a full cup of sugar, the cup of sugar was overflowing. I did STOP eating when I was full and left oatmeal in the bowl but it wasn't until AFTER I ate it.... I realized.. wow, what am I doing?
So this morning, Monday 07/21/14 = I re-read the pre-surgery diet instructions AGAIN and decided to follow it very strictly.
So basically it is shakes for breakfast and lunch and for dinner, its veggies and protein... so that is what I am going to do. I have 6 more days until surgery and its time to get my stuff together and DO THIS THANG correctly and stop wanting things MY way.
