Hi, I just saw your comment on GOODLIL991's blog about ketoacidosis and I wanted to reassure you that it is largely a concern for Type 1 diabetics and end-stage Type 2's. The article you linked to was very incomplete, though it also mentioned:
"Some people without diabetes can get ketoacidosis, too. It's caused by alcoholism, starvation, or an overactive thyroid. A healthy low-carb diet shouldn't cause a problem."
Here's a good layman's explanation of the difference between Nutritional Ketosis and Diabetic Ketoacidosis:

Thank you for the comment on my blog.I am prediabetic. Dr wanted me on low carb diet. Not sure how low though. Just plugging away & doing what works. Right now staying below 20 for a few weeks. Any advice would be great! Have a great day! 52 days ago
Hello Sunshine! Thanks for your comment on my blog about ditching the scale. It looks like you've done very well in losing weight and regaining health. I started on that path (using the scale and also tracking food). But I do think that obsessive weighing a crutch for me. I'll keep posting. 120 days ago
