A woman, a pan, and a plan

I've been down this road many, many times. SparkPeople works amazingly well for me, and then I'll fall off for a while. I've stopped counting how many times I've been on and off the program (at this point probably a half dozen or more) because the most important thing is to just be on it. I know that that means really taking my fitness seriously, and making time to cook healthy and delicious food. I LOVE to eat, but fortunately for me, I love foods that are super healthy (there's a major sweet ...

I've stopped counting how many times I've been on and off the program (at this point probably a half dozen or more) because the most important thing is to just be on it. I know that that means really taking my fitness seriously, and making time to cook healthy and delicious food. I LOVE to eat, but fortunately for me, I love foods that are super healthy (there's a major sweet tooth there but, when I'm well-fed otherwise, I don't miss sugar).

As of May 2015, with barely a week back on SP under my belt, I've lost 4 pounds (I know that that pace is just a first week thing, and that's fine) which tells me, again, that I need to be vigilant. Planning my food, using it as fuel instead of a pastime, encouraging myself to go out and be active--all of it is good, I'm excited about becoming a healthier and happier version of myself, and I'm proud to share my journey here. My Goals:
I have an initial goal of losing 21 pounds (and as of this writing, I'm 17 pounds away from that goal). There's an intermediate goal after that of losing another 15 goals. My final weight loss goal will be 15 pounds after that.

When I lose the 21 + 15 pounds to meet my intermediate goal, I'll be back down to my lowest adult weight. 15 pounds after that will put me squarely in a healthy BMI. Anywhere in that range will leave me better off. I'm training for my third sprint triathlon, so my weight loss will also help me move far more efficiently...so many reasons to do it! I'm pretty excited to be back on it.



My Program:
So far, it's this, the gym, the unwavering support of my family and friends, and my ambition.

Thursday – can the weekend be far behind???

Jason had a good day yesterday @ work. PHEW Felt good, but tired when he got home. Early bedtime. That’s a good thing.

Otherwise was hot and humid, but then the wind shifted. Still hot, but much less humid.

Let’s make it ah tremendous Thursday.
