This summer I am starting a binge-free streak and working on lowering my sugar consumption! Just some fun goals to work on that also help with the weight loss. Have set some activity and nutrition goals that I am striving to meet and I am blogging about it daily so come join me!

I started my journey at 251 pounds and proceeded to lose 91 pounds by tracking my food and leading a more active lifestyle--making small changes that I could live with. I enlisted the aid of a Fitbit, journaled, and checked in with Sparkcoach regularly. This kept me on the right track and I had just 9 pounds left to go to reach my goal of 100 Pounds Lost. But I struggle with bipolar I disorder and fell into a depression over this past Christmas that led me to binge eat my way to gaining back 21 pounds. Right before I fell into the depression I remember saying that I "didn't feel any different" having lost the weight and it was after gaining back twenty pounds that I realized that what I really needed to do was gain self-acceptance or no amount of weight loss could ever be satisfying. So I committed to therapy and my psychiatrist has been adjusting my meds, and I've been working on restoring myself as I also work on losing the last of the weight while also accepting myself for who I am *right now* and that is enough! I am coming back to appreciating the journey again and as I lose the last of this weight, I am having a whole new kind of experience because I'm seeing myself really instead of being consumed in expectations.

My Goals:
To have fun! Staying motivated and doing what I can when I can. Practicing mindfulness and good nutritional habits while staying active. Drinking more water, try to get more than 4 cups a day! NO negative self talk! Lose 1/2 to 1 pound a week and exercise 5 days a week. Eat more fruits and vegetables, at least 3 servings/day.

My Program:
I use my Fitbit and Sparkcoach together to help me achieve the best results. I track my food, fitness, and sleep, and I also have a MyHydrate bottle that tracks my water. My program is pretty simple, I basically count calories and eat in moderation, endeavour to be more active, stay hydrated, make healthy choices, and stay positive.

I'm from Wisconsin. I'm a Buddhist. I have a wonderful son and fluffy Pomeranian and in my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, trying crafty things, makeup, and every so often a British comedy.

I'm challenging myself to commit to my Fitbit & Spark for the next year so feel free to follow along with me as I will be blogging about it every day! I've set some activity & nutrition goals and it's time to get to my goal range of 144-154!
