Having been on SP since 4/10, I've almost hit my goal weight, a sort-of arbitrary number that puts me into the "healthy weight" on the BMI chart. My fitness goals are much further away. I'd like to do some true fitness daily, whether it's cardio or strength-training. That means not counting housework (no matter how strenuous) as my daily exercise.
By paying attention to what I cook , my (true)hunger level, when/how often I eat, tracking my meals and alternating cardio and strength training, I feel like I have a plan that can work for a lifetime.
I live in eastern Pennsylvania with my husband, two kids, and a dog. I am a SAHM.
I love to cook, which is a blessing. But I also love to eat, which is truly a curse most of the time. I enjoy working with my hands by knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking and watercolor painting. I am active in my church, at my kids schools, and I make a point to spend time with friends.

It sounds like you live in a beautiful area of the nation. I've always wanted to visit PA - we're talking about heading to D.C. in a couple of years for vacation. Maybe I'll get over there.

I think SparkPeople is great and as a fellow knitter, I know how important it is to keep yourself in shape to make up for the time you knit! It sounds like we have a lot in common - I love your photos, by the way!
