I'm FINALLY making it happen!

I am 33 years old, am married, have a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. I have struggled with my weight since I was about 12.

Now that I am a mom, I really want to get my eating under control, and exercise regularly. I want to feel good about myself, teach my children healthy habits, and I want to have the energy to keep up with them. I don't want to be a lazy mom.

Here are my goals:

[X] reach weight of 210 lbs (July 2, 2013)
[X] reach weight of 200 lbs (Aug 19, 2013)
[X] reach weight of 190 lbs (Sept 25, 2013)
[X] reach weight of 180 lbs (Nov 6, 2013)
[ ] reach weight of 170 lbs
[ ] reach weight of 160 lbs
[X] complete local 8 week boot camp (Oct 17, 2013)
[X] jog 5k without stopping (Aug 17, 2013)
[ ] jog 10k without stopping
[ ] be able to do at least one push up from my toes
[X] be able to comfortably cross my legs (Oct 20, 2013)
[ ] try cross-country skiing
[ ] try the local high ropes and zip line park
[ ] have my stomach measure smaller than my chest
[ ] finish the entire "No More Trouble Zones" DVD with no modifications or breaks
[X] complete a mud run / obstacle course (July 6, 2014)
[ ] try kayaking
[ ] try horseback riding
[X] complete 12 week challenge (BLC23) with full effort (Dec 18, 2013)

I am SOOOO glad that I've joined SparkPeople. It is the best tool I've found for getting motivated and staying on track. I've met some great friends here, and look forward to meeting more.

My Goals:

-feel more energetic

-enjoy exercising

-enjoy the taste of healthy foods

-not hate pictures of myself

-enjoy cooking

-be more kind to myself



My Program:
I'm not really following a particular program. Doing my best to exercise at least every 2nd day and to track my food most days. I refuse to give up ANY foods altogether.

I completed the couch to 5k running program and have been enjoying getting out for runs.

Personal Information:
I am 33 years old, married, and live in PEI, Canada.

Other Information:
"Such a Pretty Fat" by Jen Lancaster is a great chic lit book for any women trying to lose weight. It made me laugh out loud. :)

I've been worried about you, but I see that you tracked your food today. I hope that means that you are doing well (overall...not just whether you are eating right and tracking).

I haven't made your checklist sheets up for myself yet, but I really need to do that. I had a couple of bad weekends in a row, but I think I'm back on track again now.

Let me know how you are doing.
