I want to teach people to value Christ and what He has done for us.
I want to teach people to value Life and protect the little ones.
I want to teach people to value our United States Constitution and to understand that We the People rule, NOT those politicians in DC.
I want to teach people that Life came from a Creator, not Evolution, for all decisions in life or based on what you believe about this.
I want to teach people to value Holy Scripture, because that teaches us to be a moral, grateful people.
I want to teach people to Hope.

Here are a couple of spark teams I began:
1. The Sandwich Generation
(for people balancing parenting children with caring for aging parents) It's private so if you are interested let me know and I'll send you an invitation!
2. Pro-Life Sparkers, for those of us who cherish Life. This is a brand new team so help me get it up and running! :)
My goals are
to wisely balance my day as a woman, Christian, wife, mother, daughter, sibling, friend.
They are all aspects of being Me. And I am going to be a healthy Me.
My goals will be changing as I grow in this area. For now, I will commit to Sparking at least once a day, maybe skipping Sundays. Spark, to put it plainly, SPARKS me, and it is my springboard towards every other little thing I should be doing:
Eat better. Get moving. Be positive.
10/8/15 Have to set SMART goals today: I'm still going to keep it basic.
Specific: I will commit to w/o and choosing foods wisely.
Measurable: I will track every day so I can see how many days I have kept to my goal.
Attainable: At least 10 min. of cardio and a toning exercise 6 days per week.
Realistic: I will not require more of myself than I can reasonably stick to.
Timely: I will not OVER do it, I will not UNDER do it. I will pace myself and not feel in a rush.
I made a decision.
I'm not going to say, "I've lost (number) pounds".
Because I don't want the chance of FINDING those pounds again.
I'm going to begin saying,
"I've BURNED off (number) pounds."
When I first began Spark I lived in an 1100 sq foot home with 11 people. Since then we have moved into an older larger home which we are having fun fixing up. We can run laps in this place. lol.
I burn calories just walking from the bedroom, through the house to the kitchen! My spark picture is one from our earlier house. Our new house just happens to have a Window Seat on the staircase landing. Way Cool! :)
I'm a book lover! An ideal quiet time would include a Window Seat, some fluffy pillows (at least 3 ), a fleece blanket, or Grandma's quilt, a few favorite books to choose from, some snacks (preferrably not healthy, sorry, but...TRUTH! Let you know when that changes!) and a big hot chocolate! Oh and don't forget the Quiet! Basically, I lean toward old fashioned stories.
Favorite author: Janette Oke...Love Comes Softly series. And yeah, all the rest of hers also.
Anne of Green Gables books and movies.
Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensiblity, Emma . Etc. I'll think of more later!

I prefer to heat up my rice sock and use heat on it instead of ice which increases pain to untolerable levels. I may take half a muscle relaxer (Zanaflex). I do that before bed. Sometimes once in the afternoon. Hopefully this won't be as bad as last

Hi Susan, thanks for the goodie. Yeah, I have been swimming 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day 3 to 4 times a week since June 8th. Even when I couldn't walk without a walker, I could swim (the water protects my back) and within weeks of starting I was able to get rid of the walker. I still am working on improving distance on dry ground walking, but I can swim, and it has helped me lose over 80 pounds since that time as well. Got a long way to go, but swimming has been my salvation. :) I'm glad I found the swimming team there. I wish I'd seen it sooner.
