Thanks for your comments on my blog about my father-in-law! You are right, it was good that he lived so close to us and got to have so much family time with us, although there were MANY days when I would have told you it was a little too close :) It's funny how as the years go on all those irritants appear as they really are, insignificant and petty. If only we had that perspective as we live through the event!

Hi!
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. I have posted another one in order to give a link to the film.
Anyway, I understand your concern about not getting enough protein. However, because of the KALE that is used in the juice (actually the main ingredient), which also provides a source of protein, you really don't miss it. Joe Cross advises in his book and maybe in the film, too, that when juicing, you should drink coconut water throughout the day, or especially if you feel a bit weak for whatever reason. Coconut water replaces any lost electrolytes during the juice fast and I can surely attest to the fact that when drinking it you almost immediately feel re-energized and revived. Now I take it in my backpack when walking or hiking. It is a life saver ... and LOL .... has next to no calories.
My Holistic Doctor also suggested that when fasting, if a person feels a strong need for more protein than what the vegetables provide, they should simply eat a few almonds. This will not interfere negatively with the juice fast and might help a person to stay the course.

Well, didn't mean to bore ya to death with more juicing info but I have gotten quite excited about the benefits of having done it and just like spreading the word.

Hope you are enjoying your week!
Cheers - emoticon
