Running my mAss off on Long Island

Hi - I am a 42 year old professional working mom of 3 boys living on the eastern end of Long Island. Although I ran my first 1/2 marathon in January 2008 (in Walt Disney World), I had managed to gain weight. I don't like to weigh myself very often. I mostly use the fit of my clothes to tell me if I am gaining or losing weight.

Update: I ran my second 1/2 marathon on September 27, 2008 in the rain and I shaved 19 minutes off my first 1/2 marathon! 2:13:23

Update: I ran my third 1/2 marathon on January 18, 2009 in the Arizona sun and I beat my previous time by over 3 minutes! 2:09:26

Update: I ran my fourth 1/2 marathon on May 3, 2009 in the rain (again!) and I beat my previous time by over 2 minutes! 2:07:07

Update: I ran my fifth 1/2 marathon on September 26,2009 and I beat my previous time again! 2:04:31

Update: I ran my sixth 1/2 marathon back in Disney on January 9, 2010 in the snow, sleet & rain (again!) It was about 30 degrees below normal for Florida! There weren't any PR's this time but finished in 2:10:28. I'll blame it on my frozen toes. :)

Update: I ran my 10th 1/2 marathon back in Disney on January 8th, 2011. The weather was great. I ran my best 1/2 marathon in 1:58:41. I ran my first full marathon the next day in conjunction with the Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge. It wasn't easy, but I did it in 5:05:38!

Hi Susie, you're going to love Warrior Dash, I finished mine last weekend and it was a blast. The obstacles were not as hard as I thought they would be except for when I got to the top of the cargo net I suddenly was so afraid of being up so high that my knees started to shake lol. I will be doing it again next year.
