Mind over matter

I'm a mother and a wife who has always been health conscious and has never struggled with weight issues until I hit the big 50! Now I am 50 pounds overweight and cannot seem to lose it by exercise alone. Since I have never had to say no to any type of food I find the my biggest challenge is saying no to over indulging in the foods I love.

My Goals:
A few new goals I am going to accomplish before 2014:
1. Finish T25 Gamma workouts
2. Weigh in at the 150's
3. Continue purging all unnecessary things from my life
4. Continue on this path I have found as it is working for me finally

My Program:
What didn't work for me:
Working out more than 60 minutes a day. I would end up being so exhausted I would need more then one day of rest to continue on.
Trying to eat perfect. To restrictive for me.

What's working:
Working out only 30 minutes at a high intensity. T25 workout from Beachbody.
Eating 80/20 which taught me portion control and that I can have my treats too.
The benefits I have seen are:
Broke thru my 165 plateau. Haven't weighed 160 since Jan 2009.
I have been losing steadily 1/2 lb a week since July with small ups and downs.
I have more energy to do the things I like.
I am happier.
