In early July I had two wake up calls. First, I had my picture taken for a recruiting firm and I hated how I looked, and second, I had a fasting blood sugar reading of 518. These two combined got me started on a weight loss plan. I started at 257.8 and am determined to lose 107.8 pounds by July 31, 2012.

One of my challenges is a husband who loves to cook and doesn't seem to grasp the concept of lean and green. :-(

we gained the weight one pound at a time, why would we expect it to come off quicker? I got a kick out of the comment "all your ducks in order" cause I so do not feel anywhere near organized on anything right now but I needed that vote of confidence to help me on the next "step" in the right direction. It's gonna be a long night!
