HOPE TO FEEL BETTER

I have been big ever since I had my first child at 18. My hubby was in Viet Nam at the time and I wa so nervous I ate to compensate and have not been able to stop since.
I have tried to get bariatric surgery but was never approved so I NEED to do something now or be in a wheel chair in 6 months.
I am a recovering alcoholic of 36 years and I quit smoking 32 years ago, so I should be able to do this HOPE HOPE HOPE.

I have just started on my road to recovery and wellness. It is hard to make the decision and once you do it is hard to stay away from sparkpeople. There have been quite a few days in the last 3 weeks that I have not been able to do the exercise that I want to because of a back injury. What I have tried to do is read as many articles as I can on exercises (seated) that will bring both cardio and strength training back into my life (Coach Nicole is great - check out her workout videos they are awesome). I also work on my sparkpoints when I can't work on my fitness minutes researching nutritional information to help me make educated choices on what I put in my mouth. I am learning a new lifestyle and understand that it will be a slow process but when you start to feel that it is a little bit easier to go to the washroom or get up out of bed it will give you hope that you will feel healthy again and then nothing will stop you. You can do it and you are worth it.

I added you as a friend because your post on the chair exercise team inspired me. I know what you mean about starting tomorrow. If I eat something fattening after doing well during the day - I think well I can start again tomorrow and have a hard time not overeating the rest of the day.

We are an active and friendly team and love our exercise ..
We not only cater for disabilities, a lot of our members just love the Chair Exercises and the Camaraderie of this team.
We are here to help you to realise your dream of fitness and health.
In fact, we encourage exercise of some sort or another.
This helps to keep the heart rate up and the blood flowing through our bodies.
It also keeps our joints and ligaments supple.

We also encourage our members to look after their Nutrition.
