Welcome to our place! Relax with us by the pool and watch the puppies romp. Come take a walk with me at sunrise and sunset--the sky here goes on forever! My Goals:
When I first joined SparkPeople, I'd seen my weight creeping up and decided that I needed to be more aware of what I was eating and how much I was exercising. Now that I've reached my goal, I'm keeping the Spark alive by adding nonweight-related goals:

THE PHYSICAL:
- Do some ST every day.

AND THE EMOTIONAL:
- Be brave in all things.
- Face challenges head on.
- Keep focus on quality work
- Envision positive outcomes for each day
- Live in the present, neither in fear of the future nor dwelling on the past.
- Make sure that every day I do a little of everything that gives me joy, like talking with SparkFriends, reading, writing, and walking.

All this will make for a VERY busy day, but what the hell. Life is short; make the most of it while you can!

My Program:
Make sure to eat at least SOME breakfast every day, for a kick-start!

Aim to walk a total of 5 miles, 10,000 steps, a day.

Eat only when hungry and stop when full. (This is NOT easy, by the way.)

Do daily pilates-type exercises to keep my hips and back limber.

Personal Information:
I recently moved to Port Charlotte, FL, from Exeter, NH, and am 66 with an emotional age of about 36.

5'7"

Went from 172 in February 2005 to a low of 111 a few summers ago (much too low for me)

Now maintaining and trying to stay below or near120, mainly to fit into more of my clothes and have a flat tummy.

This, too, isn't always easy, because Bill and I love to cook and try out new recipes all the time!

Other Information:
My passions lately are writing; walking; Sparking; gardening; and reading. Of course, that's all when I'm not working as a college textbook editor and local newspaper columnist.

There isn't that much insulation up there to begin with, and this time of year he mostly sleeps anyway. Occasionally one of the other denizens of the interior walls/attic/wherever disturbs him and I can hear him race around a bit - drives the cats crazy. Once he emerges in the spring, he becomes Lucy The Dog's arch enemy, but oddly she doesn't seem to care if he's in the ceiling.

I've been enjoying reading your blog through my email, but even though I have a google account, I've had trouble replying.

I hope you're feeling better.
We were in Prague in December as part of our Christmas Markets cruise. We were at the Hilton in the city center, then by bus to the Danube.

I put our pictures on my website.

We're going back to the Czech Republic in April. Joe has a conference and I'm running a half marathon. Then we're going to Normandy to tour the D-Day beaches and some nearby sites.
