IT IS GOOD TO BE ALIVE!!!

I am a 55 year old woman with COPD and in 2001 had a a brain anuersym bleed onto my brain. This resulted in brain surgery. I believe I have hidden behind these things to keep from being active. As a result I am overweight and out of shape. I will no longer hide! I will fight for my health!!!

I have been a member of SPARKPEOPLE for awhile now. I love this site. I have learned so much and meant the nicest people. I always have found support or a kick in the butt (depending on which was needed) from my Spark friends.
I am definately an emotionally eater and I am trying to learn what sets me into my eating binges and more importantly what started me into binge eating. So while I delve into this I will continue to eat and exercise to a healthier me. I will embrace each
day and remember it is good to be alive!

My Goals:
My goal is basically to lose 25 pounds, but more importantly to get healthy.
I figure if my family sees me getting healthy they may want to join me

My Program:
My program is to stay within my calorie and to exercise at least 5 days a week.

Other Information:
I had an anuerysm bleed onto my brain in 2001, I think that I have been using it as an excuse not to exercise as much as I should. I've decided to be brave and live my life all the way.

Thank you for the blog comments! Yes, I love dance parties. And I plan on having MORE with my munchkin!

And I know I need to heal... I am taking it as easy as possible... I'm just not a great patient, and have no patience!

My big problem is that I feel so helpless. The sale of my house lies in the hands of this woman who is completely incompetent to practice real estate. Usually, I have control of the situation and an agent on the other end trying to work with me to get to the closing table. Right now, I just feel like she is trying to kill this deal and I don't understand why. I can't stand not knowing. I have never worried about a deal closing once we've made it through the inspection contingency, but right now, I am absolutely panicked about this. It is probably worse because I can't talk to her. She makes no sense. Yesterday I was able to talk to her about her asthma and the fact she needed to shovel snow. As agents, we usually work together and try to get tot he closing table no matter what it takes.

Today, as I am reflecting on what my goals for February should be, I came upon the following quote by Don Lancaster:

Most "impossible" goals can be met simply by breaking them down into bite size chunks, writing them down, believing them, and then going full speed ahead as if they were routine.

I hope this will help you as you set new goals or adjust the goals you currently have! Have a Wonderful Wednesday! emoticon emoticon
