I've finally decided it's time for drastic changes. I can't believe that I'm as heavy as I am. I certaintly don't "feel" as heavy as the scale says I am. I visit the doctor for checkups and blood work and I've watched my blood pressure and cholesterol numbers climb. I started keeping track of my blood work and working really hard to get my numbers down. My doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and wanted to place me on cholesterol medicine also. I've finally decided it's time for drastic changes. I can't believe that I'm as heavy as I am. I certaintly don't "feel" as heavy as the scale says I am. I visit the doctor for checkups and blood work and I've watched my blood pressure and cholesterol numbers climb. I started keeping track of my blood work and working really hard to get my numbers down. My doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and wanted to place me on cholesterol medicine also. I asked for six months to see if I could change this. I did. My next goal is to be taken off the blood pressure medicine. I guess this is when the exercise started.
I'm not the heaviest I've ever been. I won't ever be that heavy again. My heaviest was May 2005 at 265. I HATE that number. I will never see it again on a scale that I step onto. I think of that number whenever I open the refrigerator, go shopping for clothes, or think about not doing at least my 30 minutes of exercise for the day. I'm making progress. Maybe not always on the scale. I'm trying new exercises, eating new vegetables, and drinking lots of water. Everyday is a new day. I WILL do this.

Right now my focus is on exercising everyday at least 30 minutes. I'm also trying to find Extra Opportunities For Fitness. In the shower (squats), walking up the hill to the recycling bin, or doing exercises while at my desk. Anything and everything to keep moving.
