Getting Rid of the Weight

I'm a 23 year old college student who has been at this weight for most of my adolescent years. Even though i'm content with my current frame, I know how much healthier (emotionally, physically, mentally) I would be if I became fit. Breast cancer at an early age runs in my family. Christ and faith have a huge role in my life and I know that my headway this far has all been due to the glory of Christ and his unlimited love, patience, and compassion for me.

My Program:
Michael Pollan's Philosophy: " Eat food. Mostly plants. Not too much."

I've limited all processed foods as much as I can ( almost completely out). I have eliminated fry foods and all sweeters except stevia and the occasional honey. I have unsweetened nondairy milk (soy, almond, rice, etc).

Brkfst: 1/2 oatmeal & 2tsb flax meal & stevia or raisins & dash of cinnamon or a fruit smoothie with 2tsb flax meal, h20 based, cinamon, two frozen fruits and a scoop of veggie protein powder

lunch: medium salad with veggies & lowfat dressing( less than 2tsb) with Boca meatless strips

Always carry:
- at least 3 fruits or vegs
-canteen filled of water

mottos:
-Your body is a temple, keep it clean, pure & holy.
- if you aren't hungry enough to have an apple, then you aren't hungry
-No choice ( i.e as far as having just one bite of the No no foods or missing exercise)
-Willpower is a muscle, the more you use it the more it gets stro

Other Information:
I enjoy participating in 10ks. I'm training at the moment for a 1/2 marathon. If you are a runner, please share your advice ;)

I totally love Pinterest! But I have to keep myself from staying on there all day lol! So much stuff to look at :) I've decided to keep up with my spark habits again, because I realized that tracking my food is the best way for me to be held accountable for what I eat. I have to say, it's been going well, as I've already lost 3 pounds. Thanks for all of your support!
