Time to take back control of my weight & health!

I had a rough 2014 and am ready to re-focus on my health and happiness in 2015.

1. I知 getting myself started by envisioning a healthier, happier me. I知 looking at all my exercise routine options, what my vegetarian food menus will include and making the commitment to track my water, calories and exercise minutes on Spark People.
2. I知 promising myself to be more conscientious about food planning in advance so I知 prepared and not leaving the proverbial door open to poor ...

3. I知 committing to going to bed at a reasonable time so I知 feeling strong for the next day.
4. I want to lose weight to feel healthier and to feel comfortable with my body again. I have two active grandchildren and I want to be on this Earth a long time to share in their lives.

My knees have been feeling the pressure of the weight I gained back and I want to be kinder to my body.

Vegetarian although I eat Vegan when I'm home. Strict vegan-ism is tough when I go out with friends so I do what I can.

Personal Information:
Originally from Long Island NY, my kids and I moved to Pennsylvania back in August 1988. My husband and I are 'empty nesters' and we became Grandparents for the first time in January 2012! We now have 1 g-daughter and 1 g-son. I love to hike, workout, write, movies and volunteer work.

Other Information:
Favorite all time movie is "Somewhere in Time" with Jane Seymour/Christopher Reeves. "Grumpy Old Men", "Under the Tuscan Sun" and "Baby Boom" "Murphys Romance" and "A Woman of Independent Means" are at the top of my list. The older I get, the more important it is for me to laugh so I try to keep all my entertainment on the light/romantic side.

Living the good life points vary. Each week, we have something different to track. For instance, if our LTGL challenge is water, we may get 10 points per day for drinking at least 8 cups of water. Either you did or didn't drink that much, so it's 10 points or 0 points. We get a notice each week as to what that weeks challenge is. I make sure that in my team settings I have checked the box to get emails from this team so that I get the extra reminders.
