My sweet girls...oh how I love them!
Figured it was time to update the page, didn't ralize I had an anniversary until someone gave me a goodie. I continue in my cycle of doing well for a while and losing and then gaining back over time. So time to start over once again and see what I can do differently. Unfortunately I now have more issues with my back and neck that keeps me from doing certain exercises but at the least I should be able to walk on the treadmill and ride the bike. After all I now have a 3 year old granddaughter to keep up with and be around to love for many years to come!
In reviewing my progress over the years I know consistency is the key and watching my eating habits, or should I say changing those habits? I tried running but all that jarring is not good for my back, I love Zumba and need to adapt my schedule so I can do that more and if nothing else just DOING something. Yes, I put it on my calendar but then things at work keep me from going and then I don't make time somewhere else. One thing that has not changed is I love Spark people, not just the site but all you great supporters!
It helps to know there are others out there like me and I am not alone.

Letter from God to Women:
When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being.
When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils.
But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate.
I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.
Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity.
From one bone, I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life.
I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone, I shaped you....
I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully.
Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile.
You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man , his heart.
His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life.
The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body.
You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him.
You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side.
You are my perfect angel.....You are my beautiful little girl.
You will or have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart. Your eyes......don't change them.
Your lips-how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose, so perfect in form. Your hands so gentle to touch I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep.
I've held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are most like me.
Adam walked with me in the cool of the day, yet he was lonely.
He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you; my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support.
You are special because you are an extension of me. Man represents my image, woman my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God.
Update for 2011- this will be my 3rd year here on SP and will work to meet my goal this year. Recommitting to regular exercise with the trainer and on my own, will try to monitor more closely what I put in my mouth. Need to drink more water and get in to shape.
I am trying to get more fit and lose weight, can't wait to get in my next size down of clothes. (done in 2008)
Goal for 2009 is to work harder to stay in my nutrtional goals - Eat more protein.
Increase my cardio to blast through this plateau and move towards my goal!
New Year and goals for 2010 - I have 20-25 lbs. to lose. Kickin' up my cardio again to burn off these pounds.
Added more running to my program and will run my first 5K on May 8. Need to continue to focus on abs and ST at least 2X/week.
I will be more diligent in using the tools on SP to measure my calorie intake and fitness goals. I work with a trainer two to four days a week to gain stength and push me on my cardio workout.
9/24/09 Ready to recommit myself and make some changes! I am updating my ticker and setting new goals since I have stalled out and even gained back 5 lbs. over the summer. No more excuses, I will not quit but will continue to try new strategies until I meet my goal.
My name is Suzanne and I live in Oklahoma where we have a 20 acre farm. This and our three kids keep us busy and driving 40 miles to and from work everyday.
I love getting outside in the garden, especially the flowers in the Spring. We can what we grow in the garden and usually enter in the county fair to see how we measure up. I also like reading and scrapbooking when I find the time.
