I long to deeply taste the fantastic colors of this life God has given me!
No longer "re-inventing myself". Have learned that I must take charge of my weight loss and fitness goals. These goals must be in line with God's purpose for me. I have been trying to hard to focus on making myself different without a long range plan. Here is what Yogi Berra said, If you don't know where you are going, you will end up someplace else. That's my story over the past 18 months. Now I see that I must set my goal/God's purpose first and then put it into manageable goals with reasonable expectations and time limits so I can see progress. It is somewhat like Isaiah 28.9,10: They shall learn...line upon line, precept upon precept, little by little. Weight loss and a healthier lifestyle must be fore the rest of my life as I change little by little.
A life-long lifestyle of increased fitness of mind, body and spirit. I will move toward this goal through slow but steady replacement of old habits and thoughts with knowledge with application and purpose.
Water cardio workout 90 minutes 2 times per week.
Power walking 3 times per week, 1500 cal intake with 3 meals and 3 snacks, drink 8+ glasses of water/day, establish a bedtime routine of at least 6 hours, meet with other peers that share the same goals, Plan, Plan, Plan, Less, Less Less TV.

Hi! Just saw your reply to the garbage can forum and wanted to say Hello. Never has a subject come so close to home for me. And a lot of others feel the same way. I think we have a good group in this, and if we all pray and stick together, we will be encouraging to each other and we will learn and be healthy.

I just read your comments on the "Garbage can" responses. I've been there, done that also. I don't know whether it's Satan or our own lusts, it's still sin and we can confess it, repent and with the Lords strength, go the other direction. Right now I'm doing well, logging in everything and planning ahead, but I know how easy it is to start down that slippery slope. Ive lost 130 lbs then gained back 20, stayed there for several years with 5-10 lbs up and down. It's time for me to get below 200 and STAY there. I'm adding your name to my daily prayers, we can do this, we ARE the temple of the Holy Spirit, we need to keep it unsullied!
