Sunshine and smiles

I joined sparkpeople in 2013 just to track my nutrition and got so much more. I've learned to set goals, make small changes and keep moving forward.

The title page is a nod to my nicknames from customers where I once worked. They told me I was a bright spot in their morning before heading to work themselves. It was actually those "friends" who first noticed my attempts to lose weight and they provided encouragement and feedback that helped me to keep myself on-track. I no longer ...

I no longer work at that job and find I need that support and motivation, so I would like to share my trials and tribulations, as well as my successes, with others to help them set and reach their goals.

My Goals:
My main goal is to become healthier and I plan to do that by making small, healthy changes that become habits.





My Program:
1. Continue to drink 8 cups of water per day.

2. Exercise for at least 10 minutes per day.

3. Walk for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week.

4. Eat at least 4 freggies per day.



Personal Information:
I am from Pennsylvania and live near two major chocolate companies; it's a good thing I don't like chocolate.

I have 4 grown children (3 boys and a girl), and 2 cats.

I just graduated from college and plan to go for my Master's degree in social work.

Other Information:
There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.

I believe in two things: Karma and certain things should not be made in certain sizes.
