I joined sparkpeople in 2013 just to track my nutrition and got so much more. I've learned to set goals, make small changes and keep moving forward. In 2014, I hope to see healthier habits become second nature for me. My goal is to lose 50 pounds in 2014.

It was actually those "friends" who first noticed my attempts to lose weight and they provided encouragement and feedback that helped me to keep myself on-track. I no longer work at that job and find I need that support and motivation, so I would like to share my trials and tribulations, as well as my successes, with others to help them set and reach their goals.

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose 57 pounds and I plan to do that by making small, healthy changes that become habits.

My short term goal is to lose 5% of my weight (10.5lbs) for the Summer 5% Challenge.



My Program:
1. Drink 8 cups of water per day.

2. Exercise for at least 20 minutes per day. KEEP UP THE STREAK!

3. Walk for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week.

4. Eat at least 4 freggies per day.

5. Plan meals and snacks to stay within 1500-1700 calories per day.

Personal Information:
I am from Pennsylvania and live near two major chocolate companies; it's a good thing I don't like chocolate.

I have 4 grown children (3 boys and a girl), and 2 cats.

I am a full-time college student with just two semesters to go to get my Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology. I hope to pursue my Master's Degree in either social work or psychology.

Other Information:
There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.

I believe in two things: Karma and certain things should not be made in certain sizes.
