For today

I've never been good at focusing on distant goals, so as I work on being healthier I'm really focusing on the idea that "for today" I will be supportive of myself and work to do what will help me in the long run

My Goals:
I start this journey at least 150 pounds overweight. My desire is to be an average sized woman, able to buy clothes in a regular store for regular people. I want to be as healthy as possible so that I can inspire someone else to take this journey and succeed.

My Program:
I am working to take an honest look at what I've done to myself and how I can change my attitude toward myself while I work on becoming more physically fit. I use walk videos several days a week, walke 30 minutes to an hour every night, find corie burning yard work to do, and work out with stretch bands. I work on keeping my calorie count below 2000/day. My main focus really is on changing my way of thinking when it comes to my lifestyle. The Word says "with God all things are possible" and I have to hold on to His promise that what I ask in His Name will be taken care of . I believe with His help I can do this.

Personal Information:
I'm origonally a Kentucky girl, now living in Indiana. I am 57 years old and have a married 27 year old daughter. She and her wonderful husband live in a neighboring town and have an English Mastiff for me to spoil.

Other Information:
"I can do all things through Christ Jesus which strengtheneth me."

I have many hobbies and interests. I go many places and present as a Christian motivational speaker, primarily to women's groups, and sing Southern Gospel music. I quilt, sew, knit, crochet, tat, paint, write, and anything else I can come up with. I garden, mostly flowers, and work in my big yard. God has richly blessed my life and I so appreciate His loving kindness.

Isn't that the truth..hey, mine gets worse, I'm going to write in my blog today about what I've now found out! Thinking about taking some action, but I have to get more details.

Have a great weekend! emoticon

Dropping by to say hi and wish you a great Thursday ahead, also want you to know you are being though of today, hope all is well, please keep in touch.

Hope you enjoy the Easter Poem! emoticon

This Life on Earth

Easter means that this life on earth
is not all there is.
Jesus went "to prepare a place for us"
in His Father’s heavenly mansions
for all eternity.
Jesus died for our sins,
paying our penalty,
so that we could be forgiven.
He was resurrected, to prove
that death has no hold
on those who repent
and accept Him as Savior.
This life on earth is a prelude
to eternal joy with our Lord.
Easter is a celebration
of our eternal destiny.

I love what you said, and thank you. I hate giving up on things, but there are times when you, don't give up, but just step back...you have to, either that or go insane, and I can't risk doing that, not at this point of time. Too many things here depend on my sanity to work through them: our daughter with her wedding and the rebuild of the playground. And to me those are far more important than running the Wisconsin team.

I just wish others on the team, the leaders would step forward, especially the one who said they would. I guess you can't depend on anyone anymore, and that's such a letdown. Oh well, life goes on, right?

I hope you have a wonderful day, and never forget to smile, especially during the darkest times, because that's when others will need that light to guide them through. emoticon
