The Fat & Fugly Mountain I am Climbing

I have 100 LBS to lose my Doctor says!!!

But whats my real motivation, when I look at my naked self in the mirror, I want to cry. I hate what I see, and what I see terrifies me!
I'm 39 and right now wonder if I will be ever make 49. My kids are young single teens, but I expect grandchildren within the next 10-15 years, and don't expect to live that long.

So that is why I am going to climb my mountain week to week, month to month. This is day 7 of my new life. ...

I'm 39 and right now wonder if I will be ever make 49. My kids are young single teens, but I expect grandchildren within the next 10-15 years, and don't expect to live that long.

So that is why I am going to climb my mountain week to week, month to month. This is day 7 of my new life. I slipped just a bit on day 2, but have been strong since then. Even turned down PIZZA and opted for fish & Salad instead. I did have Birthday cake today, but it was a very small portion and for that I am very proud with myself!
Overall I think this week has gone well as far as diet.

Exercise has not been as good. But now I have found the exercise planner, I will do better next week. However I did go for a jog/walk at the local park, and did not fall over or passout, also went swimming and did the some floor exercise.

So Goals for next week....
Exercise as per planner daily
Eat 6 small meals a day
Find one thing I like about myself.

Thanks for the Sparkgoodie and nice comment. I am here to give you HOPE. That is what I received when I first joined Sparkpeople.

By seeing others achieve what I felt was impossible, I began to feel HOPE that I could lose weight and get healthy. There are people here that have lost over 200 lbs. without diet pills and surgery! It just takes the desire to do what needs to be done and the support of others who know what you are going through.

Take it one day at a time and one healthy choice at a time. Re-program your mind to think about doing healthy things and thinking positive thoughts about yourself. It just takes practice.

You will be surprised at how much better you will feel after just losing 10% of your goal. 10-20 lbs. will get you moving better and feeling happier. Concentrate on the first 10 lbs. and achieve that goal. Then you can think about the next 10 lbs. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step".

After losing 20 lbs. I could do much more without pain in my hips and back plus my sleep-apnea went away.

I wish you all the best....you CAN and WILL succeed!
