Thanks for the Sparkgoodie and nice comment. I am here to give you HOPE. That is what I received when I first joined Sparkpeople.
By seeing others achieve what I felt was impossible, I began to feel HOPE that I could lose weight and get healthy. There are people here that have lost over 200 lbs. without diet pills and surgery! It just takes the desire to do what needs to be done and the support of others who know what you are going through.
Take it one day at a time and one healthy choice at a time. Re-program your mind to think about doing healthy things and thinking positive thoughts about yourself. It just takes practice.
You will be surprised at how much better you will feel after just losing 10% of your goal. 10-20 lbs. will get you moving better and feeling happier. Concentrate on the first 10 lbs. and achieve that goal. Then you can think about the next 10 lbs. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step".
After losing 20 lbs. I could do much more without pain in my hips and back plus my sleep-apnea went away.
