7/11 When I started BLC in round 10, I was so thrilled to find a place that was filled with people struggling with the same issues I was - learning to eat healthier, fit exercise into my busy schedule, LOSE the friggin' weight! It was fun and exciting, until around the 3rd or 4th week, when there wasn't anybody to start challenges - so I did. Before the end of that round, I was the co-cap running the challenges.

Since then, I've been captain of summer & winter camps, the Fierce Fuchsia Felines and the Rose Ranger Regiment. Now working with Azure Destinations. A special team with a special mission!

It's a new year and time to work off that cruise! As part of the Rose Ranger Regiment, we're taking the BLC to a new level. We are going to use Army Rangers for inspiration.

The Rangers are the elite fighting unit of the US Army. They are known for their mental and physical discipline, never quit mindset, self-sacrifice, teamwork and sheer determination. Rangers are often at the front of military combat because of these qualities. Their motto? RANGERS LEAD THE WAY. Our motto? NO EXCUSES!

Each journey begins with a single step.

I've made that first step several times. This time, I'm not stopping until I make that last step to the healthier me I want to be! I'm tired of fighting this battle only to derail myself.

You know what? It's NOT easy! Its HARD and it takes a LONG TIME to lose weight! But if we don't take those steps consistently and fight for it, we won't get there!

I'm ready to be selfish and take the healthier life I want! I will put in the time and effort to lose this weight. I will not let life stop me from taking care of myself!

THIS IS A BATTLE! A BATTLE IN WHICH VICTORY IS MEASURED IN POUNDS AND INCHES! AND I WILL EMERGE VICTORIOUS and much slimmer, too!

Thank you SparkPeople for providing the tools! Thank you Jillian Michaels for making me realize that its OK to embrace my inner *itch!

And most importantly, thank you Spark Friends for believing in me and helping me fight this battle!
