A bigger life in a smaller body

Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinions of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the truth. ~Katherine Mansfield

I am doing the hardest thing on earth for me - taking a break from all the expectations I place on myself and that others place on me. I am taking the time I need to heal. I am focusing on learning how to let go and forgive.

I am doing the hardest thing on earth for me - taking a break from all the expectations I place on myself and that others place on me. I am taking the time I need to heal. I am focusing on learning how to let go and forgive.

I am not losing weight so that I can love myself. I am learning to love myself. Right now. Exactly as I am. I expect that when I release my pain, I will release the unhealthy habits that brought me to this place and will lose the weight as a natural consequence.

Each healthy decision is an act of kindness towards myself.

Hello Beautiful Lady,

thank you for the add. I noticed the friends I've been making along the way to a better life style are about at the same place I am. I appreciate the response to my blog. Changing my eating has been the hardest but I'm glad for the input from others.

Happy Friday Tempe!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my last blog. When you said that I inspire you most, it really touched me. It also inspired me. I realize as I put myself out there as a "shining example of weight loss/maintenance" when I was on TV, in magazines, the radio and newspapers, I owe it to all those who look to me as inspiration, to keep the weight off. What does it say to others who are struggling, when the person they viewed as a success, regains all the weight they lost? It says, "This is impossible." And we both know that is not true. It is however, very hard. To know someone else is struggling seems to help me, because I feel like I am not alone. However, when I see that someone I have admired has regained a noticeable amount, or all of their weight, it depresses me. So I'm not going to be one of those people. I promise!
