Hello good people of Spark! I am determined to lose weight but am tired of the number on the scale setting my outlook on life. So, I'm not going to weight myself again until Aug 28, 2014 (**Edit- I've decided to join the Spring 5% Challenge and will have to weight myself but will only do it one time a week!). I know what I weight now, I know what I need to do to get back into my cute clothes I miss wearing and I know what it takes to get there.

No more pigging out! No more ...

No more pigging out! No more drinking too much! No more telling myself that being chubby is OK. No more going out to eat just to make hubby happy. No more insouciance (I love this word, look it up!). NO MORE EXCUSES!

Super Teresa rides again....!!!!!!

My Goals:
My goal is to be able to wear my cute clothes by the end of August. They are patiently waiting for me in the closet.

My Program:
Eat between 1250-1300 cal a day.
Exercise enough to burn 600 calories a day.
Eat only ONE meal out a week and then don't pig out at it.

Here's some math, for my own purposes:
1300 cals eaten against 600 burned through exercise and assuming 1500 other cals burned in a day means an 800 deficit every day. Throw in a meal out once a week at 1500 calories and you've got a 4300 calorie deficit each week. I've got 28 weeks = 34.4 pounds lost.
OR If I eat 1200 cals a day and everything else is the same, 28 weeks = 38.4 pounds lost.
I know the math doesn't really work but this gives me something to hope for, aka, motivation!

I only erased the blogs for stuff like "30 day blah blah blah" or my mundane daily events, etc. but I kept the ones that had to do with successful Sparking. There were just TOO many and it was hard to find the ones I wanted to find. I've been back on Spark since the beginning of the year (deja vu 2011) and it puts me in a better mood (and definitely helps me eat cleaner). I knew you'd eventually check your page!! That genealogy project you've got going is amazing. You should blog about it.

Hey, T! I miss you and hope you're holding down the Fort! My DH is a huge Broncos fan & his spirits are lower than a snake's arches after the big loss at SB today. I imagine it was a big day on your street...until the Seahawks whomped us.

Wonder how your SP lifestyle is going and hope you'll check in & give us an update. Tons of snow in the Grand County mtns...if you're lookin' for skiing. We're in CA because we developed a serious allergy to plowing & shoveling 24/7! (tee hee)

Miss ya! emoticon

I spent yesterday reading (and then erasing) most of my old blogs. Those early months, the one thing I could count on was a blog comment by you - those were the ones I looked forward to the most, from my fellow Snark.

Congrats on the engagement of your step-son. When are the pending nuptials?

I will be taking another contingent to Philmont this summer in mid-July. Instead of taking a crew (which I plan to do with youngest nephew in 2015), I'm just doing my administrative thing. I'll probably hang out in greater New Mexico during their two weeks on the trail and will definitely get together with you since I have two groups (arriving/departing two days apart) flying via DIA.

I am going to try to be more Sparky this year. Not teams or craziness, but just more community oriented if I can. I realized that I'm happier when I do this.

T! Where are you? I bet you've got a beautiful autumn bursting out in Ft. C.

We'd love to hear an update if you have time...Wondering how your summer went...hope the high water didn't come near you. But I know it ravaged plenty of beautiful area near you. Heartbreaking...we are very lucky to be on the other side of RMNP. I hate to see so much damage on your side.

Hope all is well & you & Randy are having lots of fun together!

Teresa!!! I didn't remove you. Hmmm....I wonder what it was about SP made you think I did. Sorry for any confusion, but you're still on my feed and list. It's great to hear from you again. I'm glad to read that you've been journeying on. Sounds like you had a great summer!
