I am 41 pounds from my goal weight of 130. I have a passion for exercise, eating right, and helping others. That is the reason I signed up as a BEACHBODY COACH to do just that. I will show people what Beachbody has done for me. If it was not for Chalene Johnson with her TurboFire workouts I do not know where I would be right now. I love kicking and punching. It is such a release for me. Her workouts are the reason I was able to shed 50 pounds from my body. SHAKEOLOGY is another key to my success! I start every morning with my glass of 70+ nutrients. I really can tell when I do not drink it. It helps with my cravings for junk food and keeps my energy up all day long to do my crazy workouts and keep up with my two teenage sons! (They ask me to not to drink it every now and then so I am not messing with them :))

I also love to work out to Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper. Insanity with Shaun T has defeated me twice but I will conquer you yet!! :) All the trainers I like have different qualities and motivate in such different way. Let me explain this a little bit, I would like to find Jillian in an alley and kick her butt sometime because she is always yelling at me but she does push me to go harder but at the end of the workouts she always says something positive so I get over it quite quickly. Shaun T motivates me by just looking at him. He has such an amazing body. Chalene Johnson is the girl next door and the peppy little cheerleader that we all love to hate. But you really do not hate her...you want to be her. Just when you do not think you can throw another punch or kick another kick she tells you....GOOD NEWS..YOU ARE NOT TIRED! And you know what all the sudden you are not tired and you finish out the routine with a BANG! I just plain like Bob. He yells and pushes me too but for some reason I never want to go beat him up in the back of an alley...hmm I wonder why...I guess I will get back to you on that one. ;)

I am hoping to reach my goal weight by December. Once I hit my goal my journey will not be over...I will keep challenging myself with new and different workouts. I do not the weight to come back and the key will be to keep me challenged in my exercise routines. Oh yeah...Shakeology Baby...Yum, yum, in my belly...I will never give that one up!

My Goals:
I want to be 120-130 pounds and become a personal trainer! I also want to support my fellow Sparkers and let them know they can do it!!

My Program:
I will exercise 5- 6 days per week for at least 60 minutes per day. I will also eat a heart healthy meal and drink at least 64 ounces of water daily.

I'm obsessed with Green Monster smoothies! I've had it on a Pinterest board for a year or so, and never tried it until a couple weeks ago. I've wanted to do Shakeology forever, but I can't fit it into my budget, so I decided to try this instead. There are lots of varieties, but this is the basic recipe:

1 cup almond milk (or any milk really, any flavor)
1/2 cup fat free greek yogurt
1 banana, sliced and frozen ahead of time
1 tbs peanut or other nut butter
Fresh spinach

Add everything except spinach, then fill the rest of the blender with the fresh spinach leaves (about 2 huge handfuls). I wanted it a little sweeter, so I started adding a tablespoon of honey, then realized it was less calories to just use regular vanilla almond milk instead of the unsweetened vanilla I was using, and I love it. It definitely helps with sugar cravings, is very filling, and does NOT TASTE HEALTHY but still gives me lots of veggies. It's not as amazingly nutritious as Shakeology, but I'm happy with it for now!

Thank you for the blog comment. I'm DEFINITELY feeling a lot of discouragement about how far I've backtracked. I was going through my "skinny" (178 lbs) pictures last night cause I didn't remember what I had looked like... and I almost cried. I was SO tiny and I didn't even realize it... but now that I've ballooned back up to 205 pounds, I'm realizing just how small I had become. And how HEALTHY I had become! And the weird thing is, I look at people like Chalene and Janelle and fitness models and trainers, and I CRAVE so bad to be like them. To be super healthy and strong and kickass, and... then I eat a bag of chips. I need to figure out how to use that to motivate me instead of letting it depress me (cause I feel like I"ll never get there.)
