I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes three years ago. I aggressively tackled the situation with the Atkins diet as recommends by my doctor. I lost 40 lbs. Smug as I was with my weight loss, I did not include exercise. Slowly, I started crossing the carb line...a little here a little there. Well you know how this story ends. I am now up 17 pounds and reality has sunk in. I need a healthy LIFESTYLE not just a diet. So, here I am. I know what to do, how to eat, and have learned the need ...
